Mission Fusion specializes in providing an engaging and accessible experience in the world of fusion partner dancing. Their primary services include:
Bimonthly Social Dances: Mission Fusion hosts regular dance events on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. These social dances run from 9:30 PM to 1:00 AM, providing ample time for dancers to enjoy the music and connect with partners.
Pre-Dance Classes: Before each social dance, an all-levels/intermediate class is offered, starting at 8:30 PM. These classes are designed to introduce newcomers to fusion dance fundamentals and help more experienced dancers refine their skills. They are taught by a variety of local and visiting instructors, ensuring diverse perspectives and fresh techniques.
Inclusive Learning Environment: Mission Fusion prides itself on being very welcoming to newcomers and beginners, even those who have never done partner dancing before. The goal is to provide quality instruction that creates a fun and interactive learning experience.
Emphasis on "Switch" Dancing: While dancers can choose to stick to a single role (lead or follow) socially, some classes encourage "switch" dancing, where participants work on moves from both a lead and follow perspective. This helps dancers become more versatile and strengthens their preferred role.
Focus on Consent and Comfort: Mission Fusion places a strong emphasis on dancer comfort and consent. Attendees are encouraged to communicate their preferences to instructors or partners if they are uncomfortable or wish to dance only one role. This fosters a respectful and safe environment for all.
Diverse Music Selection: While specifically fusion, the music typically incorporates a mix of modern tempo and electronic music, with occasional live performances. This variety helps inspire different styles of movement and caters to a wide range of musical tastes within the fusion genre.
Affordable Pricing: The general cost for the class and dance is usually in a sliding scale of $15-$25, with the dance only costing $10-$20. This makes the experience accessible for a broad audience. Special event pricing may vary.

Mission Fusion Reviews
One of my favorite fusion spots. A diverse crowd of dancers, many beginner and many very experienced. A friendly atmosphere and usually good music. All this in a beautiful church with dancing saints! This is definitely fusion, not blues, so know what to expect. There is always a lesson before too.
Dec 16, 2018 · Jerrilee GeistAmazing fusion dancing venue (partner dance). They have bimonthly dances (1st and 3rd Saturdays) from 9:30pm-1:00am, with a class beforehand at 8:30pm. Usually $12-15. Fantastic ambience, dancers, and very welcoming to newcomers and beginners, even if you've never done partner dancing. Emily, the organizer, is great! Check it out!
Aug 27, 2019 · Sarah ConteOne of the best places for blues fusion dancing. The music is great, floors are smooth, and there's decent air flow. There's usually a big crowd but there's more space in the back with fewer dancers.
Nov 29, 2016 · Jay TThe best fusion dance venue in the world!
Mar 18, 2025 · Nikhil JoshiMission Fusion is an amazing spot for partner dancing. The music is modern, down tempo electronic with strong lyrical themes and occasional live music. The crowd is mostly 20s and 30s with a few older and younger. The venue is a beautiful church, that they clear and fill with sound, lights, and dancing.
