The feedback from local artists and renters consistently highlights the quality of the facilities and the supportive environment at Mayfair Art Studios. One photographer, thrilled with their experience, shared, "Great staff, extremely helpful. I rented the photography studio for two hours. I was worried it would be a bit small, however it was perfect for corporate headshots and just enough room to use my 85mm with plenty of room between my subject and backdrop... All in all, great studio space that I plan to use again, helpful staff, and kind resident artists that create a professional and welcoming environment. Highly recommend this space for headshots, creative portraits, product photography, and many more ideas." While a past booking challenge was noted, the studio's commitment to resolution was also praised: "After I posted this review, the manager reached out to me. I was able to schedule a space and come in to record a different dance call. It was a beautiful dance space. The brick and graffiti gave a nice back drop to the video and I was really pleased." Mayfair Art Studios Reviews
UPDATE:After I posted this review, the manager reached out to me. I was able to schedule a space and come in to record a different dance call. It was a beautiful dance space. The brick and graffiti gave a nice back drop to the video and I was really pleased.~I want to warn fellow artists, as I had an unpleasant experience. You cannot rent a studio space here. I needed to rent the dance studio to film a professional dance call. I tried to rent online but was only given "call to book". I called the next day at 4:07 pm and was told I needed to call before 5pm...I asked about the space but only the manager can book and they were not there. The worker told me the manger would be in sometime after 11 am. I called the next day at 12:57pm and the manager had already left. I asked if I could be contacted or contact them and they provided an email. I never received a reply to my email. I had to find another space to film because I could never speak with the manager to set up a rental. ACTORS, DANCERS, PERFORMERS, Don't plan to use this space, especially if you have a deadline!
Jan 05, 2023 · Leigh Marie McCarverGreat staff, extremely helpful. I rented the photography studio for two hours. I was worried it would be a bit small, however it was perfect for corporate headshots and just enough room to use my 85mm with plenty of room between my subject and backdrop. I used their black backdrop, their Godox SK400 flash and Softbox (36"?), and and it worked perfectly. I added my own two flashes and a softbox for fill light and backdrop light. There was plenty of room to move around and didn't feel cramped. There was a table in the back of the studio where I was able to set my bags and gear. That wall could possibly even be used as a backdrop if you moved the table since it was nice older brick. Great aesthetic. While I was there I met a long term lease resident who was kind and generous enough to show me where the photography studio was located. All in all, great studio space that I plan to use again, helpful staff, and kind resident artists that create a professional and welcoming environment. Highly recommend this space for headshots, creative portraits, product photography, and many more ideas.
Sep 12, 2023 · J. Levi MarloweI had a very smooth & pleasurable experience here. I recorded a dance video and the studio spaces were beautiful, well kept, and spacious. The front desk assistant was also very kind. A great place for creatives!
Dec 29, 2022 · Destini KollockHonestly very disappointed. Was going to pay for a members pass but very disappointed. They do not have any clay nor glazes and you are pressured to use a wheel to make pottery. When I asked if I could do slab work or coil work and I was told it was a waste if I was “just playing with clay” absolutely rude service. You can make beautiful ceramics WITHOUT using a wheel. Would not waste your time.
