MacKinnon Dance Reviews
My 10 year old daughter has been taking dance lessons at MacKinnon Royal Dance Institute for several years. She has learned and grown so much as a dancer and absolutely loves all the girls, and staff! She can't wait to go and considers this place her 2nd home.Ms Teri has been such an excellent teacher over the years and treats the girls like they were her own! Can't say enough wonderful things about her! Mrs Marina, as well as the rest of the teachers are all amazing as well and teach with a love for dance and support for the girls! You won't find dance drama among the girls or mom's, which is also great! Everyone is supportive of one another.
May 04, 2023 · Holly NyquistMy children have been dancing with MacKinnon since 2011 & has been one of the best parts of our family story. This studio & the staff is incredible at promoting the joy & art of dance - meeting each student where they are at. The abilities & personalities of the students span the entire spectrum and they are all celebrated and given the space to shine. I can't express what a great space this is for people who want to dance, both experienced & non-experienced, talented & not-so-talented (I even participated in adult classes as one of the not-so-talented & loved it). The spectrum of students is one of the most diverse I have seen in Loveland - one of my favorite parts of this studio. I stumbled on MacKinnon Royal Dance by sheer happenstance & will forever be fortunate for the richness it added to my children's life. It has also been quite amazing to watch the dancers grow & move on . . .some just blow you away.
May 04, 2023 · Tara HildebrandThis is our first year with MacKinnon Royal Dance Institute and we have LOVED what we have seen! It means so much to me that my girls are learning the fundamentals so well that they are able to come home and share what they have learned with me!I also LOVE the class sizes I feel my girls are getting more one-on-one time with their instructors and because of that becoming some pretty amazing little dancers and all in the course of a year! I would recommend this dance studio to everyone!
Jul 19, 2022 · Heidi StoehrI took adult tap for a couple of years at Royal MacKinnon. The tap teacher, Dani, is amazing, fun, and super knowledgeable. However, the studio owner and office operations are an absolute mess. There is barely any communication from the office, class times are often not updated or accurate on the website, holiday closures are not clearly communicated (or communicated at all before the closure), and the end of year show and costume process are equally disorganized. Having been to more than 5 other dance studios throughout my life in different states and worked for years as an office assistant at a very large studio, it’s clear to me that the logistics here are the worst of anywhere I’ve attended. There is no flexibility to change class times year to year - a huge frustration especially for adult classes, as we got stuck on Sunday mornings with no alternative option in the evening, because the owner refuses to move any kid class times. If your main teacher is out, good luck getting a substitute - as adults we were often left to ourselves if the teacher was out, which was often. After one summer break, I started getting auto-billed for monthly classes without having attending any classes, signed any agreement for them to continue using my credit card information, or communicated with me at all. It was resolved after I complained, but that it happened at all is extremely concerning. The studio is small and “cozy,” but lots of mismatched decor. The classes are affordable, but I’ve found another studio in Loveland to offer similar quality classes with incredible organization and communication.
Jan 27, 2024 · Melanie AndersonAmazing dance studio. All the instructors are extremely talented and helpful to people of all ages and skill. Meredith does a great job with the littles and we travel from Ault to have our kiddo attend her classes they are worth it!
