Kim Eung Hwa & Korean Dance Academy 김응화 무용연구소 Reviews
It’s been about five months since my daughter joined the studio from another school. I am pleasantly surprised how she has improved so much in a short time. The teacher, Ms Kim, is always energetic with her students. I can see that her dedication and passion for Korean dance resonate with every student at the studio. Also, her staff are equally dedicated, and they help students with fine details crucial with Korean dance. I’ve been a dance mom for some time and seen many performances. I have to admit Kim Eung Hwa Studio’s fan dance is the best in California.
Oct 28, 2023 · Yono HongHands down the best traditional Korean dance studio! Kim Eung Hwa teacher is legit; I mean a legend!! Dancing here as a child helped me to learn more of the language, traditions, and culture. Growing up in a country and during a time where being Asian wasn’t popular or appreciated, it helped me become proud of my roots. Performing regularly helped to develop my self-confidence and the dance family you gain is priceless. The exercise/cardio is just a bonus.😄 Definitely going to send my kids here as well.❤️

Apr 13, 2025 · Kiara MuñozI've danced with Kim Eung Hwa Korean Dance Academy since 2003 and it has provided me with more than just dance lessons and performance opportunities. I met so many of my lifelong friends here and the sisterhood this team provides is THE best. The bond we create while dancing and performing together is so precious and unique. Yes, it is a non-profit organization, but for any business to survive for 40+ years in operation, it already says so many things about this dance team. One thing I love love about this place is that I have witnessed so many dancers come back to the studio with their daughters after they themselves stopped dancing (usually after HS or college). Many mothers and daughters still dance and perform together here. I'm very grateful for this famiy! 🩷Lesson/ program includes:Dance lessons (traditional court & folk dances: divided into 4-5 different groups depending on age and experience)Percussion lessons (jango, buk, daebuk, nanta, etc)String instrument lessons (kayagum)
