Hart in Motion LLC offers a focused yet comprehensive range of programs in four distinct, yet complementary, disciplines, catering primarily to school-aged children starting from 3 years old. They call their class line-up A-B-C-D: Acro/Tumbling, Baton, Cheer, and Dance.
- Acro (Tumbling) Classes: A new offering as of 2024, these classes teach students tumbling basics, building onto their experience with a focus on safety, jumps, turns, and actual tumbling. The studio has invested in various mats and tumbling assist blocks to ensure student safety. (Note: They do not offer higher-level gymnastics like bars, beam, vault, etc.)
- Baton Twirling: Students learn and perfect baton twirling skills, from basics to more advanced techniques. These classes prepare twirlers to participate and perform in local parades (with a goal of marching in 3-7 parades per season) and showcase their talents at the year-end annual recital.
- Cheer Classes: Also new in 2024 and offered to school-aged kids (Kindergarten and older), cheer classes teach all the basics of cheerleading. Students learn arm positions, movements, various cheer jumps, flexibility, stretching, splits, "cheer voice" with chants and cheers, and short cheer dances. (Note: Stunting of any kind does not occur in these classes.)
- Dance Classes: The dance program focuses on three core styles: Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. All classes begin with learning and reviewing fundamentals in these areas. Instructors work diligently to provide high-quality lessons, aiming for students to perform at local events and showcase their hard work at the year-end recital.
- Structured Progression: For all disciplines, instructors work to challenge students to learn new skills while ensuring the content is age-appropriate, preventing frustration and promoting enjoyment.
- Performance Opportunities: Students in all programs have opportunities to perform, including participating in parades (for baton), various local performances (for dance), and a year-end annual recital for baton and dance, plus a summer showcase for cheer and acro/tumbling.
- Fundraising Opportunities: To help families offset costs for batons, uniforms, and costumes, Hart in Motion offers numerous fundraising opportunities throughout the beginning of the season. Funds raised can be applied directly to individual student accounts for various expenses.

Dec 28, 2024 · Kim MillerChelsy works incredibly hard to create a fun and instructional atmosphere for her dancers and twirlers to learn and perfect their skills. Classes and costumes are affordable, and there are several fundraising opportunities available to defray costs. She and the dance instructors at Hart in Motion worked hard and very safely with our girls at every opportunity through the COVID pandemic. My daughter learned dance positions and steps this year that she hadn’t known from her four previous years. Hart in Motion is incredibly organized and communicates thoroughly to our group as well as to individual questions. She offered a variety of options through the shutdown so her students could continue to practice routines at home, and was able to plan a recital in the midst of crowd restrictions and inclement weather. HIGHLY recommend!
