Fred Oldfield Western Heritage & Art Center Reviews
A Wonderful Celebration ..At Fred Oldfield's Art Center ..for his 107th Birthday š š„³ to meet all the Art Teachers/& Students..Thank U ā¤ļø
Mar 24, 2025 Ā· Cecile ClemmensMy daughter has been attending art classes here for over a year now. I am so impressed with the quality of instructors and staff. All the instructors and support staff are volunteers. They are very passionate about sharing their love of art with the kids. They operate solely based on donations and fees for classes. Their weekly art classes are extremely reasonable. If you do the early sign-up it only cost $48 for a 6-7 week period. I would highly recommend signing up early because the price jumps to about $72. Thereās a large window of opportunity for early sign-ups.This past summer my daughter went to a few of the themed summer camps they offer. She had an amazing time and again the cost was very reasonable. For signing up early it was $90 for one week Mon-Fri 9:30-12:39 and they provided a snack. I was really impressed with art projects she made during the āPaint, Paint, Paintā themed week. She also took a different themed camp week that was focused on learning to draw. They were vastly different but they do provide a fun variety of themes. I also like that they separate the kids on age groups. In addition, in June we had my daughterās birthday party here. It was extremely easy and hassle free scheduling and coordinating things with the art instructor Elisa, Who taught my daughters friends during the party. The cost of the birthday party was $150. You can have up to eight guests in that price and then each additional guest cost a little bit extra. There is a large separate area for tables where you can set up gifts/food etc. And an art area where the kids are taught to create their masterpiece. My daughter was able to choose the painting she wanted everyone to learn to paint at her party. Elisa was amazing and awesome with the kids. She was thorough, patient, and made it fun. In the weeks leading up to the party she called me and text me and kept in contact so there was easy coordination. She even painted my daughters artwork choice ahead of the party to make sure my daughter was happy with it .Online it says you have the birthday area for about 2 1/2 hours but our time went a little over and we were not rushed out of there or charged extra. Again this is strictly volunteer-based and the cost for the birthday parties goes directly back into the art center. They ensure that every child has an opportunity to take classes no matter their financial difficulty. I canāt say enough great things about this place.I have included some pictures from my daughters birthday party. I forgot to mention once a month they offer a 2- hour Saturday class. Itās an additional cost of $25. I included pictures of the paintings from some of those Saturday classes. On one last note they do offer an adult art class- I have been highly considering signing up for that myself.
