France School of Dance Reviews
The dance instructors at France School of Dance, Carole and Linda are wonderful! This is my granddaughter's fourth year of taking the ballet and tap class, and her first year of taking the jazz class. She is excited to attend both classes. She says both classes are fun and she looks forward to them each week! She is learning discipline, focus, and how to follow instructions. Both Carole and Linda are excellent instructors, who nurture the students, while providing sound, core dance principles.I would recommend France School of Dance to any parent who is looking for a dance program for their child!
Nov 15, 2018 · Sherrie MoineMy daughter has been dancing with France School of Dance for 5+ years and loves it. She not only does Tap and Ballet, but started Jazz and Lyrical 2 years ago. It has helped her with her technique and building her confidence. The best aspect about this dance school is the consistency of the instructors and the recitals. Linda & Carole are always there and very dependable.
Jan 17, 2015 · Olivia KamakaThis school has been around for many generations. Our child has been attending dance classes here for sometime now. The money raised from recitals goes towards local food banks!Carole shows patience and understanding with the kids. She will also call kids out for not listening and disrupting class no matter their age. She does have the more advanced kids "lead" the class. Leaders are appointed once the child shows the knowledge of the dance being taught. I disagree with the person making claims that the teacher is "mean"!They offer hand made costumes which keeps cost down in the parents end. The songs and dances taught are on a rotation depending on the skill level. The class sizes are pretty small once you are out of the "toddler" age.
Jun 09, 2019 · Sean TuckerCarol and Linda are fantastic! They’ve been in business over 50 years, and it shows in the grace and devotion with which they are able to create a fun, safe place for dancers to develop their confidence and skill. As teachers they are firm, yet compassionate toward the needs and progress of each student. Classes are very affordable, and there are no extra costs; in fact, Carol makes and provides all of the costumes herself! There are typically 3 performances per year, and they really work to ensure that everyone is excited and self-assured before each. Our kids have been taking classes for over 2 years, and we are so impressed with the pride and comfort they have in themselves and their accomplishments.
Jan 29, 2015 · R KeckI've been a student here for almost nine years. I love the school, and wouldn't want to dance anywhere else. It is a great, non-competitive environment. From my experience, Carole is a little more strict with the younger classes, but only because younger kids need more instruction. She has become increasingly more patient over the years with all ages. Carole really does take the time to get to know her students, and puts us in positions that will help us learn best. Dance isn't always fun, it can be hard and difficult at times. But that's kind of the point of taking the lessons in the first place. Bumps will always come up no matter what you do in life, no matter the age. For those that gave bad reviews, I strongly recommend giving the studio another chance. Everything both Carole and Linda do is for the benefit of us, even if it can be upsetting sometimes
