Flavor'd Flow Studio Introduce
For families and individuals across Ohio, especially those in the heart of Columbus seeking an authentic and vibrant dance experience, Flavor'd Flow Studio stands as a unique and impactful community hub. This isn't just any dance studio; it's proudly recognized as Columbus's first Hip-Hop cultural-based dance studio, founded in 2016 by James Alexander, also known as Bboy Osuga. Flavor'd Flow Studio offers a genuine education and appreciation for hip-hop culture, providing a safe and inspiring space where students of all ages can learn, grow, and discover their confidence through the dynamic art forms of breaking and popping. It's a place where passion for dance meets a deep respect for the culture, creating an unparalleled atmosphere right here in Ohio's capital.
The mission of Flavor'd Flow Studio extends far beyond teaching dance steps. James Alexander's core focus is to impact children's lives positively through Hip-Hop culture and its dances, instilling confidence, discipline, and structure through foundational training. Each child is taught the importance of respect, diversity, hard work, teamwork, and many other valuable life lessons. The ultimate goal is to help each student become a "young professional" and prepare them to follow their dreams, providing b-boys, b-girls, and breakers with a true outlet and a safe haven for dance. Flavor'd Flow Studio aims to be the definitive home for Hip-Hop in Columbus, striving to educate the public about the authentic culture and dances, and to challenge any negative stigmas portrayed by the media. The studio's commitment to "putting the flavor into the flow of life" is evident in the supportive, welcoming instruction and community, creating an environment where even stage fright can dissipate, as powerfully noted by a parent witnessing their child's newfound confidence.
Flavor'd Flow Studio is conveniently situated at 379 E Barthman Ave, Columbus, OH 43207, USA. Flavor'd Flow Studio Reviews
After breaking class last night my 7 year old son said, “That’s the most proud I have ever felt. You know that stage fright I had? It’s totally gone!” James creates a supportive atmosphere and has high standards. Thanks for helping our son find his confidence.

Very welcoming, nice and supportive instruction and community of people with all levels of dance experience.
Feb 13, 2025 · Janelle MaurWe’ve enjoyed watching our son learn from James. He has grown not just in breaking skills, but also his confidence and courage has improved. James teaches not just Breakin skills but also about respect, gratitude and discipline. He leads the kids very well and encourages them to show up and do their best everyday.
Jan 04, 2024 · Monica BrooksThe studio is great, and James is awesome! My 5 and 7 year old boys are learning to break dance. UPDATE:My now 8 and 6 year old are still loving brake dance and are expressing everyone who they dance in front of, still a little shy, but they have some moves and live James the instructor, he's a great guy and a super role model. He teaches respect and acceptance very well.
Dec 07, 2023 · Johnny AdamsBest kept secret that I wish more parents and kids knew about. No other studio offers breakin' classes in the city. Students learn the history of the art form of breakin', the music, the culture as well as respect, work ethic, and friendly competition. James is more than a teacher of the dance, but provides a safe space for self expression.
