It is important to note that while many reviews highlight positive aspects, a single negative review raises concerns about professionalism, dispute resolution, and neutrality in parental conflicts. This review describes an incident involving:
- Lack of Professionalism/Compassion: The owner's perceived failure to exhibit neutrality and her handling of a meeting regarding parental concerns.
- Unmanaged Hostile Environment: Allegations of verbal aggression (yelling and cursing) from other parents in the presence of a child, and the owner's alleged lack of intervention or comfort for the distressed child.
- Disregard for Concerns: The owner allegedly disregarded and dismissed concerns about inappropriate behaviors within the studio (locker room issues) and refused a private meeting.
- Prioritizing Child's Well-being: The parent ultimately removed their child due to the perceived hostile environment and alleged apathy from the owner, prioritizing the child's emotional well-being.

En Pointe Dance Academy Reviews
I am proud to say we have been part of EPDA for the past 6 years. This is not just a dance studio, but is indeed a family! My daughter has grown as a dancer and a person in tremendous ways. The owner and director Jada Tyler has been such a blessing to our lives. She provides a program that families can afford without lacking skills, expectations, or quality! Jada and the coaches approach the dancers with love, care, and concern not only for dance but them as individuals. As a parent, I have been met with nothing but love and respect from the studio and staff as a whole. I look forward to the next 6 years with EPDA as we grow and make strides in the dance world!
Mar 31, 2025 · teresa maid (thedmaid)EnPointe Dance Academy was a place where my daughter spent three years on the competitive team and this year on the petite intermediate team and despite her learning some techniques, her overall experience was negatively impacted by a lack of professionalism and absence of compassion/care. The owner allowed another parent to facilitate an impromptu meeting at her studio. I was invited to, with no agenda. At said meeting, she watched as the untrained “parent liaison” attempted to mediate parental concerns of other dancer behaviors happening outside of the studio. She disregarded the newly discovered inappropriate behaviors of dancers I learned from my daughter happening in the studio locker rooms (no cameras)(In which I thought the meeting was meant to also address). Two parents were allowed to yell towards my child and I as we sought to express concerns regarding inappropriate and bullying behaviors. I had to prioritize my daughter’s well being and remove her due to the studio owner's failure to exhibit neutrality and her contribution to verbal aggression in the presence of my child at her studio resulting in my child crying. She did not comfort or stop the two parents from losing control and yelling/cursing and stared at my child as she was clearly in distress. In fact, I was in distress after seeing my child in tears. Owner disregarded and dismissed my concerns and refused to meet in private. In fact, she yelled at me and ask me to leave the studio after this incident despite me requesting to speak in private, yet she asked one of the parents that was yelling and cursing to stay for a private meeting regarding her child’s inappropriate behaviors outside of the studio. Her lack of professionalism and lack of neutrality ultimately led to a hostile environment in which I needed to prioritize my daughter’s well being. The owner displayed apathy and sided with other parents, which ultimately led to our decision to leave. Very sad because we paid full tuition and my daughter could not perform her competition numbers this season. I keep all of my receipts.
Mar 29, 2025 · Laquanta WatkinsThis is my daughter’s first year on the mini competition team. She looks forward to her daily classes and has formed an amazing bond with the entire studio. Watching her grow and the skills she has obtained is mind blowing. Jada, the owner is amazing, attentive, and communicates regularly. The other coaches are just as great and truly love the girls.
Jan 31, 2025 · Blair FrancoisWe are in our 5th season with EnPointe and I am so grateful for the growth and opportunities my daughter have attained due to being connected to this studio. She has traveled to Florida, Dallas and New York to dance and one of her biggest highlights was being selected to dance at a well know Houston Music Artist's wedding because of the foundation that this studio has laid. I love how all of the parents (dads included) look out for each other and each other's children. We are one big family, we laugh, we cry, we pray, we hold each other up when needed and we always come together to support the dancers.
Mar 31, 2025 · kesha govanWe’ve been at En Pointe for 3 years now and my daughter still loves it! She continues to excel and grow at this studio and has great support from other very talented dancers. The coaches here are amazing and bring out the best in her, pushing her to her full potential.
