East Athens Educational Dance Center Reviews
We attended the open house for the dance classes. We live on the Eastside of Athens and always wondered why the “east side” was considered the worst part of Athens and let me tell you driving to this place especially at night will tell you why. I was already nervous of the location going into the open house, but when greeting by Nina, we became more comfortable. We bought our daughter dance wear and sat and people watched. The blonde lady who is charge of the toddler dance classes that our daughter would be attending didn’t say anything to us or our daughter when Nina introduced her, and later in the night she was yelling at the kids to stop playing when it’s was an open house, for kids. She didn’t smile the whole time so I told my husband we would both be going to our daughters dance classes as I immediately did not trust her. We left the open house about 30 minutes into it and the next day got an email that parents would not be allowed in the building during classes. I immediately had my husband reach out out to withdraw our daughter as I was already concerned about how she would be treated to begin with. The center stated this information was in the “orientation” paperwork that I did not see until she told me where to look so it is not obvious at all. They also denied a refund as we were three days short of their refund policy. If you have little ones who cannot talk, DO NOT put them in a program where you cannot supervise what is going on. Especially with people who do not seem to enjoy children.
