Country Roads Dance Academy Introduce
For New Jersey residents, particularly those in the Burlington and Mercer County areas, finding a dance school that prioritizes genuine passion and personal growth over intense competition is a true gem. Country Roads Dance Academy (CRDA), nestled in the charming village of Crosswicks (Chesterfield Township), NJ, is exactly this kind of esteemed point of interest. Established in 1983 by Meg McMenamin, and now under the direction of former student Christa Girsh since 2017, CRDA has dedicated over four decades to nurturing a love for dance in a fun, supportive, and technique-focused environment.
Country Roads Dance Academy is renowned for its unique philosophy: fostering the "joy of dance." This approach sets it apart from many other studios, as it intentionally shies away from the "sparkly distractions often found in other dance schools" and intense competitive pressure. Instead, the focus is squarely on a solid ballet and dance curriculum, with ballet classes following the rigorous Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. This commitment ensures students receive a strong technical foundation, whether they aspire to professional careers or simply wish to enjoy dance as a lifelong passion.
The testimonials from past and current families resonate deeply, highlighting the studio as a "wonderful dance school" and a true "dance home." Many former students, like the current director Christa Girsh and teacher Laura Volkland Eastin, grew up dancing at CRDA, a testament to the enduring positive impact the academy has on its students. This multi-generational connection underscores the academy's success in not only teaching dance but also building confidence, encouraging bravery to try new things, and fostering deep relationships. For any local seeking a nurturing and technique-driven dance experience, Country Roads Dance Academy offers an unparalleled opportunity.
Country Roads Dance Academy is charmingly located at 480 Main St, Chesterfield, NJ 08515, USA. The space is wonderful with beautiful hard wood floors and a historic stage used by the dancers at year end. They are a word of mouth studio only- non competition based.
