Apr 17, 2025 · Malia PonderHaving taken belly dance classes from several instructors over the years, I can say that Bravo Belly Dance is the best of the best. Val has devoted many years to the FCBD style and knows it inside and out. No matter what my day was like, I always feel 100% better after class. Try a few classes, it will feed your soul!
Oct 30, 2024 · Tracy LaswellI’ve been a student of Valerie’s with Bravo Belly Dance since about 2017. I started as a raw beginner in FCBD dance style and have worked my way up to the advanced class!—there is always more to learn and polish! I appreciate the individualized attention given to each student in each class. You’re never “lost in the crowd” even in a large class. I enjoy the interactive aspect of FCBD, where moves can be incorporated into duets and trios of dancers.Classes are tailored to the needs of the attending students. Valerie welcomes questions and takes time to break down and thoroughly explain the nuances of each move and how to how to transition and combine them into graceful flowing sequences.I also appreciate that she stays true to teaching the classic movement vocabulary shared by all FCBD dancers worldwide. If you learn from Val, you can dance with any FCBD dancer anywhere!
