★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a wonderful time in Black Mountain. Performing at the Center was just the frosting on the cake. It's small, but very well setup to provide a real local Arts experience. The photography currently showing in the upstairs gallery are magnificent. Check out the pieces by Herb Way.
Oct 24, 2021 · PapaJoe GaudetI moved from Museum City in Georgia and grew up at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. I am not easily impressed but this place surprised me and made me feel like I was at home. I have seen a production in their theater, been to an event in their gallery, and am looking forward to a pottery class. Don't miss this little gem.
Aug 15, 2024 · Cheryl HydeWhat a wonderful star in our community! Everything, from the dance classes & performance troupe that our daughter has participated in the last three years, to the art shows, to the fundraisers and annual Art in Bloom, all of it is a treasure, a true gem in our midst. The staff are helpful, courteous and kind. How lucky we are as a small town to have such an amazing gift!
Sep 18, 2017 · Tricia BaehrI looooved the community, space, studio, peers and my teacher. However, I was harassed in front of peers multiple times by one of the instructors (who is supposedly in charge) and when I brought it to the offices’ attention they completely shrugged it off. I truly was blown away and clearly left the studio when they failed to do literally anything. Super bummed because this could be such a great place if it had proper management.I bought my own wheel, found somewhere else to fire in a rented kiln space. Highly recommend
Mar 03, 2022 · Ava SherickThis is a great center for the arts in the heart of downtown black mountain! The staff is composed of artists who are very receptive to sharing their love of art to the community. Tons of great classes to take, an amazing pottery studio, and an inviting crew make it a terrific asset to the community of Black Mountain!
