Arthur Murray Dance Center of Pittsburgh Downtown Reviews
I absolutely love taking dance lessons here! My partner and I have been taking lessons for about 8 months just for fun and have learned so much. Our primary instructor is Leah, who is fantastic at guiding us through the steps of whatever dances we want to learn. The other instructors are also amazing and so fun to work with. There are free group classes and dance parties every week, so you can really get your money's worth if you're taking lessons. They're bringing in guest instructors too every six weeks or so, and those have been awesome experiences. Five stars all around!
Feb 12, 2025 · Leah MooreWe attended lessons at Arthur Murray in preparation for our wedding. We had the pleasure of working with Christian, who prepared a full routine for our first dance. We came in as complete beginners and learned so much through his guidance. Not only were the lessons efficient in getting us familiar with the basics we needed first, but the pace at which they added in more complexity was very comfortable. Christian was also incredibly fun to work with, carrying an infectious enthusiasm that made us excited to learn. He was also an excellent teacher and worked through our struggles and concerns with ease and professionalism. I was so impressed with our overall experience and would recommend this studio in a heartbeat.
Jan 05, 2025 · Michael KutilekMy husband and I came to Arthur Murray in Pittsburgh to learn a choreographed dance for our August 2021 wedding. We wanted a routine that was fun, showy, and more complicated than traditional first dances - but still performable in a giant wedding gown! Anne was our private dance instructor, and we couldn’t have asked for a better mentor. She designed and personalized our special dance to L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole that made us smile every time we practiced, and also blew our friends and family away at the reception. We also attended multiple group lessons to learn the basics of various styles of dancing (East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Salsa, etc), which has given us more confidence on the dance floor at our other friends weddings. All of the instructors are great here. Learning to dance with my husband was honestly my most favorite part of the entire wedding planning process, and we have Arthur Murray to thank!
Feb 08, 2022 · Hannah SieberI have been taking lessons from Leah at the Downtown Pittsburgh studio since March 2024. My husband and I started along with our daughter and son in law in preparation for their wedding. I have continued with private lessons and take group lessons and attend parties. Qadir and Christian are so much fun and the atmosphere they foster in the studio is welcoming and accessible.
Jan 16, 2025 · Carrie Beauchamp-HolversonMy fiancé and I had a blast working privately with Qadir! Our first dance was choreographed so beautifully with our song. We looked forward to each lesson and it was such a fun stress relieving activity for us during the busyness of wedding planning. Qadir always made us laugh and did a great job tailoring to our skill levels and pushing us to try new things!
