The Vertitude L.A. - Pole : Aerial : Fitness is distinguished by several notable features and highlights that draw in a dedicated clientele, though some aspects have also received constructive feedback.
- P Specialized Instruction in Pole and Aerial Arts: The core highlight is its specialized focus on pole fitness, aerial silks, and aerial hoop (Lyra). The studio offers a wide array of classes from "Beginner Pole" to "Advanced Silks," catering to all skill levels. This specialization ensures deep expertise and comprehensive progression for students.
- P Progressive Level-Based Curriculum: The "ascension/levels based programming takes each student on a unique journey through progressive 'levels' of classes," allowing members to "ascend or progress through the curriculum and to the next level at their own pace." This structured approach is highly beneficial for skill development.
- P Variety of Classes Beyond Core Arts: In addition to the primary aerial disciplines, the studio offers complementary classes such as "Deep Stretching," "Dance Technique: Ballet," and "Conditioning," providing a holistic approach to fitness and performance.
- P Clean and Well-Maintained Studio: One customer specifically noted that the "studio is clean and well-maintained," contributing to a comfortable and professional environment for training.
- P Experienced Instructors: While general positive comments about instructors are present (e.g., "Great instructors, very attentive"), specific mentions highlight some as "fantastic teachers" who are "patient and very helpful and kind." The studio website also mentions a staff of "certified instructors & champion athletes."
- P Opportunity for Self-Practice: "Open Pole / Open Aerial" sessions are available, allowing students dedicated time to practice moves and routines independently, which is crucial for skill mastery.
- P Inclusivity: The studio explicitly states, "Every. Body. We take inclusivity very seriously. All bodies are welcomed and celebrated. Period." This commitment to an inclusive environment is a significant positive.
However, some reviews from real customers also highlight areas for improvement in the overall experience:
- P Inconsistent Welcoming Energy: One review described staff, including a front desk receptionist and an instructor, as "cold and unwelcoming," noting the energy was "not warm and welcoming (very cliquish)." This contrasts with the positive experiences and emphasizes the importance of consistent client-facing interactions.
- P Distracting Studio Environment during Open Sessions: During an "open pole" session, studio managers and instructors were noted for "talking loudly over the music, seeming to want to take up space," which was perceived as "odd especially with a potential new client." This suggests a need for awareness of the client experience during open practice times.
- P Reliance on Patron Kindness: The same review mentioned receiving "warm energy and kindness from fellow patrons," which "helped my experience," indicating that the positive atmosphere sometimes relied on the community rather than consistently from all staff.
These points of feedback, while isolated, suggest that while the physical space and core offerings are strong, ensuring a uniformly welcoming and professional atmosphere for all clients, especially new ones, is an area for continuous focus.

The Vertitude L.A. - Pole : Aerial : Fitness Reviews
I’ve taken a few deep stretching and pole classes here, and they were great, especially the pole classes! The staff is friendly, and the studio is clean and well-maintained. I’m excited to try their dance technique class next!
May 05, 2025 · Mayi BarovGreat space and decent equipment but the staff were unprofessional—one of the front desk receptionists and the instructor with the white hair and tattoos were cold and unwelcoming . I’m not new to aerial arts, having visited a number of different studios nationally and the energy here was not warm and welcoming ( very cliquish). I was surprised to receive warm energy and kindness from fellow patrons which helped my experience. I paid for an hour of open pole and experienced the studio managers and instructors talking loudly over the music, seeming to want to take up space which I found odd especially with a potential new client. I’ve been looking for a studio to call home but unfortunately this will not be it. Creating a warm and positive space for new clients should be priority with any business.
Jul 24, 2024 · Jenai DavisI took my first intro pole dance class with DanielleI couldn't be happier
Mar 15, 2025 · Peter EeroSo happy to have found this studio! I’ve been taking classes for about a month, and I’m obsessed. Danielle and Meggan are amazing instructors, especially for beginners. I’ve gotten lucky to have my own pole each time I go, although I wouldn’t mind sharing because we learn so much from watching/working with others.
