The Peach Pit Gymnastics, Cheerleading, Dance & Trampoline & Tumbling Reviews
I enrolled my 3-year-old son here for about two months, and while he enjoyed the classes and had a great coach, I had some concerns that led to my decision to withdraw him.Pros:1. The classes were fun and engaging for my son.2. His coach was excellent, and he genuinely enjoyed the experience.Cons:1. Limited Seating for Parents – The waiting area gets quite crowded, with some parents having to stand. Unfortunately, as a woman, I noticed that men rarely offered their seats. While this isn’t the center’s fault, it’s something to be aware of.2. Lack of Diversity – Just something to note for those who value a more diverse environment.3. Holiday Closures Without Make-Up Classes – Over the Christmas break, the center closed for three weeks, meaning we only attended one class that month while still paying the full monthly fee. They do offer camps, but those come at an additional cost. Another sport my child attends offers more flexible scheduling with make-up options, which I personally prefer.4. Unpleasant Front Desk Experience – The final issue that prompted me to leave a review was an incident on my son’s last day. My husband took him to class for the first time and wasn’t aware of the entry code. When he asked the front desk staff for assistance, she seemed visibly annoyed, sighing and making it clear that it was an inconvenience for her. He explained that I usually bring our son and apologized for the oversight, yet she still responded rudely, saying not to let it happen again. While this may not seem like a major issue, her reaction felt unnecessarily harsh. Based on our experience, I can’t help but feel that had my husband been a white man, he may have been treated differently. The owner/director was always polite and professional in our email exchanges during enrollment, but these factors ultimately led me to withdraw my son. This is just my honest perspective for other parents considering this facility.
Jan 27, 2025 · Andrea JonesWe have had birthday parties in the past with good experiences. My daughter did dance class there for the last year. I thought her teacher was great but ultimately the billing system is archaic and incredibly annoying. We were billed for all of January and most of February without going to the classes - I had a scheduling conflict but you have to give 60 days notice to stop the billing - and was told we could make it up later. No one said you have 30 days to complete the classes. Fast forward and we are billed for the single last class of May for $57. There is no discussion or flexibility. As a busy mom, I can’t with these rigid contracts. There are too many options for 5 year olds to dance in the city to have to deal with this frustration
May 01, 2025 · Carie Ann SirmonI have been going to this location for adult aerial silks classes for over a year and the instructor Christina is fantastic. However, the overall management at this gym is very disappointing. Their website is difficult to navigate and they do not post updates/send emails when things change. They also consistently overbook the space with classes, open gym, and cheer practice all going on at once. The result is noisy, chaotic, and potentially unsafe. But on to my main grievance:At the end of 2024 they introduced an annual fee of $45 (which I was happy to pay) but as it was explained, they were actually supposed to be charging this already and wanted to charge me retroactively for the past year and have me pay it again in early 2025. This was also not communicated over email, I was just told at the front desk one day and without confirming that I wanted to continue class given the updated terms, they went ahead charged my credit card. This is extremely unprofessional. They eventually sent an email out weeks later communicating the change and I paid the fee for for 2025 at the end of February. However, within a few weeks I was told they were no longer enforcing this for adult classes (no doubt due to drop off in participation).Fast forward to this week and I notice that aerial silks classes are no longer listed on the website at all and I can't sign up. I called them 4 times throughout the day to try to confirm that the class was not happening and no one answered the phone. Finally, I resorted to DMing them on Instagram and they responded two days later telling me that they are taking a break for the summer. So now I have paid an annual fee that was dropped shortly after it was introduced for a class that is only offered for 2/3 of the year (assuming it resumes in the fall). Ultimately I don't care about losing $45 but the principle of the matter remains. Pretty disappointing.
May 23, 2025 · Madison CorbeilWe hosted our son's 5th birthday at the Peach Pit on Collier Rd and had a great experience! Jordan and Masie were wonderful coaches and so helpful. I was very impressed at the turn key experience - it took the pressure off of us as parents and we were able to enjoy ourselves and our guests instead of hard core hosting duties. Thanks again to the whole Peach Pit team!
Jan 20, 2025 · Jackie FlakeWe attended a birthday party at this facility in June 2023 and were quite excited to attend as we were in search of a facility for my son to explore his increased interest in gymnastics. However, we had a soul crushing experience that I feel the need to share as a mother of a 4 year old son. During the birthday party my son, was verbally berated by a coach to the point of tears. Inexplicably, all I heard was a loud verbal “NO SIR” which not only frightened me, my child, but other parents. Immediately, my son’s shoulders slumped, his head hung, and he began to cry as he was not permitted to enter the foam pit during the party. Imagine the isolation and embarrassment. As a mother, I was crushed. Other parents looked on in bewilderment and sympathy as my son couldn’t be consoled. Needless to say, we exited the party early. The offending coach (who I will not name, giving her the respect she failed to give me or my child), only came over to speak with me ONCE I stared in her direction. No apology was communicated but a callous explanation that she “thinks she scared him” and that he allegedly was jumping on top of other kids and could return when he “calmed down.” My son was visibly the youngest party attendant and has no malicious bone in his body. He merely was excited. By no means am I against my child being corrected, but this response fell woefully short of what was appropriate. The appropriate course was to speak to me not embarrass my child. We won’t be returning and if asked by parents of other young kids of potential spots to explore the offered services, I will certainly be honest. Not even my worst enemy deserved what took place.2025 UPDATE: I called the facility back in 2023 the day after posting my initial review and spoke to someone regarding the incident. After speaking with a manager, I adopted a more forgiving sentiment that was misplaced and undeserved. In the days, weeks, and year that followed, I remained unsettled and here is why: As parents it is our job to protect our children, especially our littles. Bullying a child (3 y/o) is never OK and that is exactly what occurred. 2025 is the year of standing firm in principle and holding people accountable.
