TDS - The Dance Studio Reviews
I really wish this was going to be a 100% positive review but it seems im not the only one who experienced this same issue with this dance studio. Jenny Dunn might be a great dance teacher but her professionalism is by far the worst thing about this company.Let me start off by saying Miss Anna was my daughters teacher and we loved her! She was so sweet and very patient with my daughter and her class. My daughters dance at the recital was so cute and my daughter did SO good! We love Miss Anna and if you get a choice to choose her as your teacher ❤️ thank you Miss Anna!Back to my point about the unprofessional behavior by Jenny Dunn. Im going to start by saying im NOT angry, just upset. My main problem was that the babies were scheduled to dance last at the recital, so close to 730pm. When most kids that age go to bed at 8pm. My daughter can't make it past 6pm some days before she's ready to pass out, even with a nap. Im new to dance so I have no idea how it works. When I brought this issue up with Jenny she left a snoody reply instead of explaining to me why she chose that time. She mentioned she has done this for over 30 years and knows what she is doing. Okay great but she didnt explain anything to me. As someone whose never done dance all I see is someone setting my daughter up for failure. If she would have taken the time to actually explain in depth why she chose that time and why the babies always goes last then I'd be fine. However she just told me to find another dance studio instead. My message was well thought out and as kind as I could put it. Because as I parent I was truly upset. But instead of being met with compassion and understanding and getting an explanation she was just too lazy to explain and told me to leave her dance studio. She also said this to another mom as well.I do not recommend working with a studio whose only care is themselves. I own my own business and taking the time to explain to clients why you do things a certain way is important. You cannot just expect people to follow you blindly. My daughter ended up doing really well at the recital but was extremely miserable afterwards. Screamed the whole way home she was so tired. Im grateful it didnt effect her routine. And again if it was explained to me and if I was met with compassion I wouldn't have cared so much. I attached screen shots of the conversations and Jenny's blatant rudeness towards her clients.Hopefully this helps you make an informed decision to continue with this studio. Everything about this place was great except for the communication. One bad review isn't the end of the world for this studio but my hope is that Jenny will change the way she communicates with her clients. I wish this studio the best of luck! Thank you for starting my daughters first year of dance! The long message is from a different mom (not my message). My message was dirty deleted. The other screen shots are me commenting on that moms post and then showing that Jenny again dirty deleted her post as well. Last 2 screen shots is the email convo I had with her after that post was deleted and mine was deleted.
