Studio 8 performing arts Reviews
Our family found this gem of a studio. Our dancer had danced and competed for 9 years. So this year was full of new—A new studio.New dancers.New teachers. And a brand new love for dance. Not just the stage lights and sparkles kind of love… but a love for technique. A love for training. For the discipline of jete, battement, tendu, and port de bras. Words that were foreign a year ago now are every day vocab.Walking into a new studio filled with trained, talented dancers can either dim your light—or ignite a fire. For us? That fire is burning brighter than ever.Competing in a new age group for her 2 solos against some of the best? We placed first overall, fourth out of over 100 solos (against 12 year olds) —and learned what it means to rise. To really rise. But the biggest lesson? It wasn’t about trophies. It was walking into a room where your parents aren’t the only ones cheering for you and it was real.Where dancers cheer each other on.Where families rally behind every performer—because every dancer brings something to the floor.Where growth is shared, losses are lessons, wins are celebrated together, and excuses aren’t tolerated. No pointing fingers, no tearing down. Just team. They say “find your people.”This year, we did.STUDIO 8 performing artss opened its arms and hearts. From Day 1, the dancers and their families stood beside us—and we just knew. These were our people.Yes, the car rides are longer.Yes, 90% of our nights and weekends are spent at the studio. But it’s our dancers happy place. Now our families happy place. To anyone out there wondering if those kinds of people exist—They do.They’re waiting for you at Studio 8!
Jun 09, 2025 · June ReavisThis is my daughters first year of dance and she is 2.5. We actually tried a different studio close to home but we weren’t impressed so after a referral and reading reviews we drove 50 minutes to attend the class with Lisa. My daughter was definitely nervous but the owner and teacher Lisa and the other teachers were amazing. Based on her attention span Lisa let me know which class she would recommend for my daughter. There was another little girl in the same class as my daughter who was crying a little bit and Lisa handled it amazing. We could hear her reassuring the child and helping her to participate. The child had started to calm down when the mom decided to pull her child from the class. Lisa actually came out to calmly talk to the mom and let her know in her experience as a dance teacher that she believes her daughter would do well if they kept coming back and that although her daughter was crying just a little that she was not hysterical and was still participating. She also mentioned that even though that was her professional opinion she believes that moms know their babies and would respect if she still wanted to pull her from the classroom. I love how she handled the situation and I’m so happy she is teaching my baby. Also to add they have cameras set up in the studio for the parents to watch the class from the lobby. It’s an amazing studio all around!

We promptly receive a monthly calendar each month plus numerous emails for things that come up. My daughter is actually learning new things every week at this studio. Ms Lisa is very generous with her affection for our dancers. My daughter loves going to dance class now! Thank you Ms Lisa 🤗
