Scripps Performing Arts Academy Carmel Valley Reviews
I am beyond glad that we started our daughter’s ballet journey (and soon her musical theater journey) here! The staff is everything and after just one year attending they feel more like family - it is such a loving and caring environment here. I also appreciate that it’s a little more laid back than some - for instance the yearly “recital” is really a “demonstration of learning” and doesn’t require any fancy costume. We just love SPAA!
Jun 12, 2025 · Jana GillWe love SPAA! We do both ballet and musical theater. The teachers and program are so supportive and wonderful, helping to shape our little performers in more than just dance skills. We are so grateful to have found this studio!

The choreography is always creative and impressive, and it's clear how much effort goes into making each performance a success. We couldn't be happier with our experience at SPAA studio. Jul 31, 2024 · Gaili ZhaoMy daughter attended the musical theater summer camp for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. She came home every day telling us how much fun she was having. They only had four days to prepare and everyone did so great knowing their lines and positions. I was very impressed! This is definitely something my daughter is passionate about so I am so glad there is an opportunity for her to continue lessons during the school year.
Jun 23, 2024 · Iris WhelanOur daughter attended the Musical Theater Summer Camp for the first time and absolutely loved it. She was so excited after the first day she couldn't wait to perform for us. They did some arts/crafts in between but most of all, she loved the singing and dancing. We enjoyed the final performance and the kids all seemed to enjoy it as well. My daughter liked the songs in the Trolls movies, thus we signed up for this theme. I thought there would be more lines/acting in addition to singing and dancing, but realize that this was geared towards the younger group age 5-8, so would be more difficult. My daughter, 7, didn't mind as she liked the dancing and singing. Hopefully, we can continue and there would be more parts/lines in the older group. Only other comment from her was that she wished for camp to be longer, as well as I as the parent and that the last day be a little longer for more child care time than just the morning performance. Otherwise, she had a lot of fund and would definitely want to sign up again in the future.
