Regal Dance Clubs Reviews
Well, I have to start by saying I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before we started our lessons, they may have led us to a bad decision of not going through with dance lessons! We took an introductory lesson in May, and simply had fun. Jackie was a great patient instructor, and we quickly decided to sign up for a set of three lessons. I have never seen myself as a dancer, in fact my wife all but has to drag me on the dance floor at events. The combination of private lessons, group lessons and "parties" is great, my only regret so far is our schedules precluding us from getting to enough of the group sessions and parties. We felt our progress and basic enjoyment of the lessons led us to sign on for about a dozen more private lessons with zero hesitation Including from my cost conscious wife!Overall the place is great, friendly staff, friendly members, and I can't say enough good things about the instructors Jackie and Staz. Based on the reviews it seems there was an exodus of students when instructors left, I obviously don't know why, maybe people don't like change. But Jackie has been great as our instructor, kept the learning moving at a good pace, but patiently reviewing (and appropriately correcting) what we learned. Staz filled in for a class and it was a great balancing lesson. Each instructor has their approach and teaching experiences to lean on and we found it energizing. There has not been a lesson so far that we haven't left happy and excited about what we now learned. We even took it all for a test drive on a cruise we went on and I can say for once I enjoyed dancing, we even drew compliments! So, I cannot speak to others experiences, but I think they are great at Regal and highly recommend!

Jun 28, 2025 · Tim VinkMy fiancé and I have had a hell of a time trying to obtain a refund from this facility. We signed our Social Ease contract on March 20th, and I fell and severely sprained my ankle on March 21st. We were in our seven day think-it-over window and would have been able to obtain a full refund if we had wanted, but we were told explicitly by our instructor and her supervisor that we would be able to put lessons on hold until I had recovered enough to begin lessons again. We had our first lesson on April 15th and, due to no fault of our own, left Regal Dance Clubs on April 24th as our instructor was also leaving. We sent written notice of our refund request on April 25th and received no response until June 12th when we were told by Regal’s owner that we owed them money for unused lessons even though we were told explicitly lessons could be on hold until I recovered. The owners do not communicate in a timely manner whatsoever regarding any issues and will take advantage of situations outside of their students’ control. If I could rate them zero stars, I would.

Jun 19, 2025 · Jordan MarieUnfortunately a lot has recently changed at Regal Dance Clubs. Effective 4/25/2025, all staff and 90% of their students left Regal Dance Clubs. My husband and I have been trying to get a refund on the monies owed to us from Regal Dance Clubs to no avail. By doing so, the current owners are preventing us from spending our money elsewhere and taking lessons from instructors that we feel comfortable with and have had great success. I just started competing with one of the instructors who left and I am doing very well. I wish to stay with this instructor, however, not getting our refund in a timely manner is preventing from further instruction.PLEASE NOTE: WE WERE NOT PERSUADED TO LEAVE REGAL …… THE CHOICE TO LEAVE WAS ENTIRELY OUR CHOICE. THE CURRENT OWNERS OF REGAL DANCE CLUBS, STAZ DAWSON & JACKIE GONYEA, ARE NOW TRYING TO PLAY ON THE SYMPATHIES OF THE STUDENTS WHO FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTORS THE RETURN TO REGAL DANCE CLUBS ….. A VERY UNETHICAL MOVE.ANOTHER OFFER HAS BEEN MADE BY THE CURRENT OWNERS THAT HAS US QUESTIONING THEIR ETHICS. PER THEIR WRITTEN COMMUNICATION, “THEY ARE INTENT ON REBUILDING THE STUDIO’S STUDENT BODY SO THAT WE CAN START EARNING ENOUGH MONEY TO BE ABLE TO HONOR OUR REQUEST AND MAKE GOOD ON YOUR REQUEST FOR REFUNDS”. IN OTHER WORDS, THEY APPEAR TO BE COMFORTABLE WITH SELLING LESSONS TO UNSUSPECTING CLIENTS WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO REFUND THEIR MONEY, IF REQUESTED. THE WORD “PONZI” CAME TO MIND.BUYER BEWARE!
