Pryntsev Classical Ballet Academy Reviews
For the past two years, I’ve been taking private ballet lessons, but recently, I decided to try adult group classes. My first experience was at Pryntsev, and it was quite a challenge - yet incredibly rewarding. The teacher was kind, patient, and clearly highly skilled. Even in a group setting, she noticed individual areas for improvement and took the time to offer personalized corrections. The studio itself was immaculate. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were warm and welcoming, quick to assist. Julia, the studio manager, went above and beyond, giving me a full tour since it was my first visit.Overall, I can’t recommend Pryntsev enough for anyone looking to study ballet, whether as a beginner or an experienced dancer. The combination of expert instruction, a supportive environment, and top-notch facilities makes it a standout choice.
Apr 27, 2025 · Aaron HollandsworthPBA has been our studio for a few years now, and the experience has been incredible. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also genuinely passionate about teaching and helping each dancer improve. Mr. Ivan, especially, is very knowledgeable in ballet technique, and strives to impart that knowledge on every single dancer. All instructors are very attentive to the development of the dancers, and especially careful about their physical development, and ensuring the prevention of injuries. Classes are small enough that each dancer gets corrections during each class, but large enough that they are happy to go dance and be with their friends at the studio. We have seen great improvements in technique, confidence and overall presentation since we have been there. Students of PBA attend very prestigious Ballet Intensive programs around the world (Spain, England, France, Portugal), often on scholarships, where they consistently get positive feedback about the training they are receiving year-round. Highly recommend!
Feb 24, 2025 · Julia D.My daughter has been with Pryntsev Ballet Academy for a little over two years now. She previously trained at another studio, but since joining PBA, her growth as a dancer has been incredible. Not only has she improved technically, but she has also gained so much confidence. The instruction at PBA is outstanding. Ivan Pryntsev, the studio owner, is a fantastic teacher and coach. He has been incredibly supportive of our daughter’s ballet journey, encouraging her in ways we never expected. He even helped our usually timid daughter step out of her comfort zone and compete in competitions—something we never thought she’d do. His approach is both supportive and motivating, pushing her just enough to bring out her best.We are so grateful to have found PBA and look forward to seeing our daughter continue to grow as a ballerina here.
Feb 21, 2025 · T Dy-RagosMy daughters have been in Mr. Ivan's class for a few months, they really enjoy the classes here. Mr. Ivan is a professional dancer, also he is a very good instructor. He communicates with parents a lot, very easy to work with him.
Sep 06, 2021 · Li XinI started taking adult ballet classes from Ivan in 2019, and soon afterwards tried a few private lessons. I was impressed with his respect for teaching as a profession, especially for a professional ballet dancer in his prime. Not all talented dancers can be good teachers, but Ivan definitely has a natural teaching instinct. He can identify specific reasons why I’m struggling, and provide clear, detailed corrections. He challenges me technically, but is also very patient and encouraging. This is the exact combination I want in a ballet teacher. When COVID-19 hit, I was a bit apprehensive about continuing classes and private lessons online on Zoom, but my concerns were quickly put aside. In addition to being a talented artist, Ivan is also technically savvy, and was able to adjust the audio & video settings, as well as both of our device placements, to optimize the online lesson experience. Looking forward to many more classes and lessons with Ivan!
