Pointe Performing Arts Center offers a comprehensive array of dance and performing arts programs designed to cater to various ages, skill levels, and artistic interests. Their offerings are structured to provide both recreational enjoyment and more intensive training, depending on a student's goals. Here’s a detailed look at the services provided:
- Children's Program: Specifically tailored classes for younger children, often starting as young as 1 year old, focusing on basic coordination, rhythm, and an introduction to movement and sharing space. This includes foundational ballet positions and engaging activities.
- Classical Track: A rigorous curriculum designed for dancers aiming for professional careers in concert dance or seeking entrance into top conservatories and college programs. Admission to this track is typically by invitation and audition only, requiring specific classes and performances, alongside studies in Modern, Jazz, and Contemporary forms.
- Performance Track: Weekly rehearsals geared towards preparing dancers for upcoming competitions, which can be in-state or in neighboring states. Dancers compete in group dances and are encouraged to participate in solos, duos, and trios.
- Centre Track: Recreational level classes for dancers who wish to experience the accomplishments dance can bring without the commitment of competition. These classes still offer quality training but with a more flexible approach.
- Variety of Dance Styles: Instruction in a broad range of popular dance forms including Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acro, and Tumbling. This allows students to explore different artistic avenues and find their preferred style.
- Recital Opportunities: All classes listed on the fall schedule typically have the opportunity to perform in an end-of-year recital, usually in early June, to showcase their hard work. Dress rehearsals are also held prior to the main performance.
- Dance Camps: Fun holiday camps, March Break Camps, and Summer Camps, providing engaging activities for busy families during school breaks.
- Competitive Dance Team Program: For more ambitious dancers, a program focused on studio values of friendship, artistry, perseverance, and performance within a competitive setting.
- Conventions and Master Classes: Dancers in certain programs are required to attend at least one dance convention each season (typically 2-3 days on weekends), offering opportunities to learn from world-renowned teachers and choreographers. In-house master classes are also offered.

Pointe Performing Arts Center Reviews
Hard to find place, no sign other than insurance company. Way to clickish for our taste if you kid hasn't been here since day one. Staff not very friendly. Waiting area way too small. If you dare cross the imaginary line towards the back you will be scalding with the cat of nine tails. Geez these people need to lighten up. If your child is new be sure and try place out before paying so your child can see if it's for them and you. Our experience was not positive or uplifting at all.
