North Atlanta Dance Academy Reviews
North Atlanta Dance Academy has been an incredibly important part of my life. I started dancing here at age 3 and continued through high school as a member of the Pre-Professional company, North Atlanta Dance Theatre. The training I received was technically challenging, artistically enriching, and grounded in a deep respect for the art of dance. The faculty are highly skilled and deeply committed to each dancer’s growth. They hold students to a high standard while encouraging individual expression and personal progress. The curriculum builds strong classical ballet technique and also offers excellent instruction in modern, contemporary, jazz, and more. I always felt pushed to grow, but fully supported. Thanks to the solid foundation I received here, I went on to earn my degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. The training I had at NADA absolutely prepared me for college-level dance and professional opportunities, both technically and artistically. What’s even more special is that I’ve now come full circle—I’ve returned to teach at the very place that inspired my love for dance. It’s a privilege to work alongside the mentors who shaped me and to be part of nurturing the next generation of dancers. North Atlanta Dance Academy doesn’t just train great dancers—it builds strong, confident, passionate people.
May 05, 2025 · Emily McBainOur children dance here, and we have had a very positive experience. Their teachers are professionals, and are careful to correct bad technique. They are very kind, yet maintain positive studios. They offer classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and Pointe. The older girls are given the opportunity to do competitions and audition for a pre professional ballet company.Their summer camps and yearlong classes are very reasonably priced. My daughter loves ballet, so she takes hours of lessons every week.My little boy started pre-ballet this year, and thankfully they treat him like a little boy. I'm happy for that, or he would not step foot in a studio. He is very much a boy at heart and detests anything "girly".We have great things to say about this studio and their programs! We take classes year round and like everything about it.
May 21, 2023 · Charis LiMy daughter started dancing at NADA last summer. Her technique has grown and improved so much this past year. Her recital was last weekend and everyone was blown away with the difference between her recital at her old studio in 2023 and her recital at NADA in 2024. All of her teachers are amazing and well qualified. The studio is organized, registration for Fall starts in the Spring and the website is kept up to date. My daughter also was accepted into the non-profit performing company and I was blown away by the quality of the dancing, costumes and sets. My daughter eats, sleeps and breathes ballet and NADA has been the absolute best school for her.
May 29, 2024 · Amy W.I feel incredibly lucky that we found NADA. These are true professionals who nurture their students both as dancers and as young people. Instructors are dedicated to helping dancers improve their technique, and they do this in a positive way. The dynamic among the dancers is one of camaraderie, not competition. NADA students can audition for the associated ballet company, North Atlanta Dance Theatre, which produces two full ballets per year. My daughter has been dancing here for two years now, and after our experiences at other Atlanta-area dance studios, I can truly appreciate that NADA is not just one more dance school. I wouldn't want my daughter to be anywhere else.
Apr 25, 2024 · Dori KleberMy daughter has been attending dance and theater classes here for almost two years. The care and dedication of the teachers is by far some of the best I have seen. My daughter cannot wait to go to class every week and she has made some close friends in the process. When we first started attending classes, I was initially concerned about the distance from our home in Peachtree Corners. After driving it a few times, even during rush hour, it does not take more than about 12-15 minutes to get there. Anyone that knows Atlanta traffic, knows that 12-15 minutes to get anywhere, especially during rush hour, is practically nothing. We are truly blessed to have found a dance studio where we can call home. I would recommend Ms. Kitty and her extremely talented husband "Mr. G" to anyone looking for dance academy to call home.
