McTeggart Irish Dancers Reviews
Our daughter has had a wonderful experience with McTeggart Irish Dance. The coaching has been uniformly exceptional- informed, kind, challenging, and supportive. Communication is always responsive. She has learned so much and developed in confidence as a dancer and a person. She has developed into a brilliant dancer while making wonderful friends and having amazing support for success in competition. McTeggart quickly became like a family for us and we could not be happier with our experience. Thank you!
Aug 07, 2023 · M BI rate two star by means I know McTeggart believes her practice to be sincere, but also knowingly, I see the owners still need to work on almost everything to find the real excellence of Irish dancing. We once considered joining our daughter to train with the McTeggart school a few years ago. Then we decided against it. Since that consideration, McTeggart has hosted many competitions - at least annually - and for each one, we've noticed how increasingly unorganized, controlling and untimely those competitions have become.Granted, every feis (Irish dance competition) is hard to pull off without great planning and experience but each year, the McTeggart's feis has shown us its about how they control the event, whether through lack of timely announcements/awards or some kind of covid restrictions. It seems quite apparent how it's on their minds that it's not about the talent, not about the kids' performance, and it's definitely not about the due respect to parents' time (as dances were never on schedule - by far).Bottomline, we're glad we didn't change schools. McTeggart seemed appealing to us at first, per location, but we thankfully stayed with Avoca School of Irish Dancing and eventually realized our daughter was truly getting world class training from the most organized owner, and the most talented training she can get in our area. And she now will be competing in Worlds, just 6 years in to her joining. We're so glad to have made the choice to stay with Avoca.Cheers to the Irish way of freedom at heart!
