Nov 02, 2024 · Jennilee SpikerMy experience at Ly's Pole Studio in San Jose for an aerial silk class was nothing short of eye-opening. I joined their Level 1 class as a complete beginner, and I left feeling both exhilarated and challenged.First off, the atmosphere at Ly's Pole Studio was welcoming and relaxed. The instructor greeted us warmly, and the studio itself was clean and spacious, which instantly put me at ease.During the class, our instructor was not only skilled but also incredibly patient. They took the time to break down the basics of aerial silk techniques, ensuring that even newcomers like myself felt comfortable and safe. However, I will say that some of the moves felt a bit daunting at first, but the instructor's encouragement and guidance helped me push through. What I appreciated most was the supportive environment created by both the instructor and my fellow classmates. We all cheered each other on and celebrated small victories together, which made the experience feel more like a team effort rather than a solo endeavor.By the end of the session, I definitely felt the burn, but I also felt a sense of accomplishment. I'm excited to continue exploring aerial arts at Ly's Pole Studio.Overall, if you're looking for a place to dip your toes into aerial silk or expand your skills further, Ly's Pole Studio is worth checking out. Mar 26, 2024 · Annie Phuong Anh DangI Love this studio!!! The teachers are amazing kind and give you the loving push to help you trust your body. The community is welcoming and incredibly diverse. As a curvy, queer Black American in my 40’s I was very worried about starting aerial arts. But I never felt old, out of place or too big. Ly and the teachers focus on safety and fundamentals to build your ability to do more than you ever thought possible.TLDR: if you ever thought about doing pole/silk/hoop, but had doubts- just try it here.
Jun 03, 2024 · Margarette ShegogI had been pole dancing for a bit over a year and a half before finding Ly's Pole Studio. I've only been coming to Ly's Pole Studio for a couple months, but I already feel like my skills have improved tenfold. The teachers not only will teach you moves; they will teach you how to creatively and dynamically go from one move to another. They really put so much thought into every combo they create for each and every class! Also, everyone at the studio is so nice and welcoming. I had just moved from Florida and didn't know anyone in the Bay Area- and within a couple months, I've already made so many new friends through the studio. If you're looking for a studio with an uplifting environment, that will increase your strength, flexibility and creativity on the pole- this studio is for you :)
Feb 13, 2023 · Jessika CooneyLy was a great instructor, and hilarious! She introduced us to actual pole tricks for the fundamental lvl 1/2 which was challenging but overall very fun! And made sure everyone was welcomed and understood the moves properly. I would definitely recommend this if it’s your first time!
