If you're looking to learn Lindy Hop, connect with a friendly community, and enjoy fantastic music, Lindygroove is an experience you won't want to miss.
At its core, Lindygroove is dedicated to the art of swing dancing, specializing in Lindy Hop, the energetic partner dance born in Harlem. However, the offerings extend to other related styles such as Blues, Balboa, Shag, and Solo Jazz, providing a rich vocabulary for dancers to explore. The essence of Lindy Hop, as taught at Lindygroove, isn't about memorizing rigid routines; it's about developing a strong connection with your partner, learning to improvise, and truly playing off one another to create joyful and conversational dances. This approach makes it accessible and engaging for everyone, emphasizing the social and improvisational nature of the dance.
One of the standout aspects of Lindygroove, as highlighted by its devoted attendees, is the incredibly warm and inviting community. Newcomers often express surprise at how quickly they are welcomed and integrated, finding not just dance partners but genuine friends. The environment encourages everyone to join in, regardless of whether they arrive with a partner or solo. This strong sense of camaraderie, combined with the infectious energy of the music and the spacious dance floors, makes every Thursday night a truly memorable event. Lindygroove isn't just a dance hall; it's a social hub where connections are made, skills are honed, and the pure joy of swing dancing is celebrated weekly.

Lindygroove Reviews
One can go for free for one's birthday party plus bring 9 friends for free as well. Good DJ's. Large dance floor. Communication is poor: only via email, and it may take a few days for a response.

They are one of the longest running weekly swing dance events in Southern California and for good reason. You can't find a better Thursday night swing dance event in Pasadena/LA area for the price. Includes free beginner lesson too! Check it out!
