Le Croix Academy for the Performing Arts Introduce
For individuals and families in North Carolina, particularly in the Gastonia area, seeking a performing arts studio that prioritizes a positive environment as much as artistic excellence, Le Croix Academy for the Performing Arts stands as a beacon. This studio, dedicated to nurturing artists of all ages, has garnered a reputation for its commitment to building confidence, fostering creativity, and providing a welcoming space for every student. Le Croix, meaning "The Intersection," truly lives up to its name by bringing together various facets of the performing arts—dance, acting, music, and performance—to create well-rounded and impactful artists.
What truly sets Le Croix Academy apart in the North Carolina performing arts landscape is its unwavering dedication to a supportive and inclusive culture. As highlighted by numerous satisfied customers, the academy maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for bullying, ensuring that every student feels welcomed, comfortable, and celebrated. This focus on a positive atmosphere, championed by instructors like Ms. Emily and Ms. Patty, allows students to flourish not only in their artistic techniques but also in their personal confidence and self-expression. For parents in the Gastonia area, this means finding a safe and nurturing environment where their children can grow creatively without fear of judgment or negativity.
Le Croix Academy's commitment to inclusivity extends to its diverse range of offerings, catering to a wide spectrum of ages and skill levels. Unlike many studios that primarily focus on youth programs, Le Croix Academy proudly offers dedicated adult classes for both tap and ballet. This thoughtful approach addresses a significant need in the community, providing a space where adults, whether they are returning to dance after a long hiatus or taking their very first class, can learn and grow without feeling out of place alongside much younger students. Instructors, including owner Emily, are praised for their patience, ability to break down complex movements, and their talent for building confidence in adult learners. This makes Le Croix Academy an appealing destination for lifelong learners in North Carolina.
The academy's curriculum is designed to go beyond just teaching steps and lines; it aims to cultivate leaders and well-rounded citizens. Le Croix Academy believes that dance is a powerful tool for developing individual leadership skills, teaching students to set goals, work effectively in teams, and creatively solve problems. While a small percentage of students may pursue professional dance careers, the academy recognizes that all students will become "professional people," and thus focuses on character-building attributes that serve them in all aspects of life. This unique focus on leadership and community contribution sets Le Croix Academy apart as a truly impactful institution within the North Carolina community.
The positive impact of Le Croix Academy on its students is consistently highlighted. Children exhibit increased confidence and a love for their instructors, while adult students find a supportive community to pursue their long-held passions. The professional yet friendly instruction ensures that students receive high-quality education, while the emphasis on cultural diversity creates a rich and welcoming environment for everyone. This blend of artistic excellence and a strong community spirit makes Le Croix Academy a highly recommended choice for anyone in North Carolina looking to engage with the performing arts.

Le Croix Academy for the Performing Arts Reviews
My daughter has been going to this studio for 2 years now and ever since she started attending her confidence has boosted and loves Ms. Emily and Ms. Patty. Not only are they the best studio in town but they have zero tolerance for bullying and are very culturally diverse, my daughter has always felt welcomed and comfortable would definitely recommend.
Apr 12, 2025 · Isela TorresAs an adult who was never able to take dance classes (but always wanted to) this place is goals! I’ve been determined to learn tap for a while now and had gone to a different studio that “accommodates adults” but all that meant was that I was in a class with 6 year olds. Here at Le Croix, they have dedicated Adult Classes (for both tap and ballet)! So I didn’t feel stupid just because a child could already “do the thing.” Emily, the instructor (and owner!), is so patient and helpful. She breaks things down to their bare bones so it’s easy to grasp before pushing you to do things on your own or go faster. The confidence she helps you build as you learn the steps is unmatched.Adults, if you’re thinking about giving it a try, DO IT!!
Apr 06, 2023 · Angela MeadeMy daughter has been a part of this studio for four years now and we consider ourselves part of the family and community. I adore the staff and appreciate the roles they play in my daughter's life as safe and respectable adults.Communication has always been clear and prompt and I love the diversity of the students as well.
Aug 09, 2024 · Ashleigh BellI am so grateful to have found a studio that focuses on the wellbeing of my kids first and foremost. This is a classical studio where my kids are both learning to dance but also leadership goals like responsibility and determination. No questionable costumes or rushing the kids to do flashy skills their bodies aren’t ready for. The other moms I’ve met are really kind and the owner is so personable and approachable. I know my kids are in good hands.
Aug 02, 2024 · Jessica McCoyMy daughter started at this dance studio on 05/21/2024. We paid $499 down payment (to make monthly payments less), $20 locker rental fee. 06/01 $188 payment drafted. 07/01 $188 payment drafted. During the initial consultation, me and my friend were provided a “contract” to sign. The owner advised it was late (9pm) and rushed us a little. I verbally questioned the withdrawal process before both of us signed. Owner advised if it didn’t work out, it was no problem. This is where she should have directed us to the withdrawal section of the contract that we were not given. My 7 year old daughter was constantly told by the owner and only teacher that she did not impress her. After attending for about 4 weeks, my daughter begged and cried not to go back. A 7 year old should not have anxiety over trying to impress a grown woman. The fundraiser this studio participates in does not benefit your child, it supposedly goes towards a scholarship student but scholarships are not advertised. We were told to cancel with this dance studio that we have to pay 3 more months but not receive service. Our down payment could not be applied to the withdrawal. If we do not submit a withdrawal form and 3 months of payment, it would continue to draft our bank account until 12 months are complete or it will be sent to collections. I asked for a reconsideration and my down payment to be applied, she denied to approve. I have now paid $1,459 for FOUR weeks, (7 days) of dance. BEWARE!Edited to add, another payment drafted after cancellation and merchant refunded.
