L.Y.E Academy Reviews
I hosted a graduation dinner at the L.Y.E Academy and it turned out great. The place is a nice size and the price for the rental was a great rate. The day of my event I needed to move up my time to come in and set up and she was able to accommodate me. I also paid Ms. Yates to come in and take photos and she did a great job. Her turn around time to give me my photos and deposit back was quick. I am looking forward to hosting something else there in the near future. I would definitely recommend this place to rent out for an event.
Jun 23, 2021 · Jerie WadeBeautiful and talented young lady. She has a heart for all children and the patience to teach anyone how to dance.
Apr 18, 2018 · Nia RayMy family rented the Venue and it was super nice but my only complaint is, we weren't allowed to touch the Central Air Control. The owner had it taped up with Do Not Touch. It was HOTTER THAN FISH GREASE! We had to stand outside in the pouring rain to cool off. We had one big fan by the DJ booth....that was the only negative thing.
May 27, 2019 · Sonya JacksonMy event was on the Friday before Halloween and the night before the owner, Ladia, was to have her Halloween party. The space and location was great, but the customer service was horrific! When I booked, I booked the entire venue, but there were so many people walking in and out of the back that it seemed like another event was going on at the same time. I tried calling and texting Ladia to see what was going on, but she never answered or returned my calls like she did when I was in the booking stage. Close to an hour later, Ladia and another person came through my event pushing a Kroger shopping cart full of things for her party that was the following night. When I saw her and the cart, I was immediately embarrassed and frustrated. I paid her contracted fees to have the building to myself and definitely not to have someone roll a shopping cart through, park it in the middle of my event and unload groceries. When I expressed my concerns to Ladia, she told me “It’s my building and I can do as I please. I have an event I need to get ready for but I will talk to my sister and her kids in the back. “ True enough, it is her building, but I believe that she shouldn’t have rented the space that night in preparation for her event or she should’ve handled her business another time. She stated that her sister was there to “keep the building” and had lost the key to the back door. Again, I understand the reason for her being there, but no one should have been allowed to walk through my event and in and out of the doors all night. There was also more than one woman and two children going back and forth. Even after she “spoke with them” there were more people coming through the door, walking through my event and going to the back room. Ladia also stayed close to an hour talking about my complaints to a few of my guests that she knew. Initially, I’d booked until 11pm, but paid for an extra hour so we were to be out by midnight. At midnight, Ladia walked in, shutoff all the lights and was very dismissive. When asked if I could do a walkthrough to ensure I indeed had everything, she told me that I couldn’t. Her contract stated that there would be a fee for every minute that I went over the booked time, but for some reason, I was denied that privilege for a walkthrough that would’ve taken less than a minute.I would rate the space and location a 5, but the lack of customer service and the owner’s attitude superseded everything else.
Nov 03, 2020 · jalia worthLove what they do for the kids. But the “tumbling class” isn’t a class. Just a bunch of kids in there flipping. No one is actually TEACHING. No one greeted us or anything. My daughter stood around and looked then just PLAYED. A waste of TIME. Drove from Frayser/Millington.
