My Grandson attended public school and he was bored, so he got in trouble often. He was enrolled in ICPA , and has been as member since he was 11-years old. He enjoys school now, and he looks forward to going to school. He is taught by teachers who use guidance with patience, compassion, and understanding. Professor Coleman and his teaching- staff have created a healthy environment where learning is easy to take place. The staff treat the children, and young people like family. My grandson has excelled in music and the performing arts. He currently plays (3) instruments. - KTTolliver

Inland Conservatory For The Performing Arts Introduce

Welcome to the Inland Conservatory For The Performing Arts (ICPA), a truly exceptional institution located in Ontario, California, dedicated to nurturing the artistic talents and personal growth of young people. Far from a conventional school, ICPA is a world-class conservatory that provides a comprehensive and immersive education in dance, theatre arts, and music, often offered tuition-free for its full-time students. Founded by Marcus Coleman, a gifted musician himself, with a deep desire to see full immersion, quality arts education accessible to students from 2nd to 12th grades, ICPA has evolved from a community school in 2010 to a private school in 2013, fostering a healthy environment where learning flourishes and students truly excel.

At the heart of ICPA's philosophy is the belief that performing arts education is not just about mastering a craft, but about shaping well-rounded, confident, and empathetic individuals. The emphasis is on "guidance with patience, compassion, and understanding," as highlighted by a proud grandparent whose grandson, once bored and in trouble in public school, transformed into a passionate musician playing three instruments after joining ICPA. This testament speaks volumes about the caring and supportive atmosphere cultivated by Professor Coleman and his dedicated teaching staff. They treat every child and young person "like family," ensuring that education in the arts contributes directly to their overall well-being, confidence in their art, and building self-esteem.

ICPA offers a rich and diverse curriculum across its three main conservatories: Dance, Theatre Arts, and Music. In the dance conservatory, students explore multi-levels of ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, modern, world, and tap, with placement based on ability, experience, and talent. The theatre arts conservatory immerses thespians in dramatic and musical theatre, as well as writing for stage and film, developing confidence on stage through both dialogue and music. The music conservatory allows artists to explore instrumental or vocal arts, with a goal to create a youth symphony orchestra and competition choir teams. Beginners develop skills in piano, acoustic guitar, and the basics of singing, while experienced musicians can excel as soloists or in ensembles, choosing from jazz, orchestra, or pop/rock band genres. Every student receives education in piano regardless of their major, ensuring a strong musical foundation.

The transition from public school to ICPA often marks a significant positive shift for students, with parents noting their children's newfound happiness and smiles. This is a direct result of the staff's genuine care for the kids' well-being and their holistic approach to education. ICPA is more than just a school; it's a transformative experience that provides real-world training in a fun and engaging environment. Students from ICPA are regularly booked for performances locally and nationally, winning awards, scholarships, recording music, and being featured on television, film, and in print, showcasing the high caliber of instruction and the profound impact of this unique conservatory.
