Halau Hula O Uluwheilaukoa Reviews
This halau is amazing! I initially attended class to just learn a few hula steps, but I found Kumu to be such a wonderful instructor. She has taught me not only hula, but also the hula traditions, songs in the Hawaiian language and how to make intricate feather and kukui nut leis. Kumu also cares about spreading peace, through hula, in the community. Her students have performed for various hula festivals and at community events. This halau is fantastic!

This is a wonderful place for people of all ages. The aloha spirit is alive and well in Kuhai Halau O Uluwehilaukoa Pa Olapa Kahiko!
Apr 12, 2024 · Grace AkunaI joined the Halau in August 2021 and love the sense of community and sisterhood that I have been missing in my life. I danced in Hawaii as a teenager, and had been wanting to start again for years. I am so glad I came to that first class and have enjoyed all my time since. The environment is better than a competitive Halau in that the Kumu is kind, energetic, and encouraging. I do not like negative energy, and this Halau has a lot of laughter and love! Highly recommend joining us for a class and checking it out yourself!
