Greater Hartford Dance Academy Reviews
I was hopeful for this dance class. First week was fine ; however the second week was very off. I went to check in and was completely ignored because Ms Bambi(dance instructor) was looking elsewhere like I was standing in front of her for a cool 3 minutes. Anyways the reason I decided to withdraw my daughter was I just so happen to step in the room and witnessed how Ms Bambi aggressively pulled a long spongey item away from my daughter when she picked it up. My daughter is autistic so she isn’t well with direction. Which I explained to them prior to starting. I watched the entire session and how they treated my daughter and that was all the red flag I needed. It didn’t sit right with my spirit.
Oct 11, 2021 · Thalia RWorst experience I have ever had with my son and daughter. We have a child with special needs which we talked at length with Miss Bambi about before enrolling our son. She indicated that’s she does teach children with specials needs . That was far from the truth after she told me she could no longer handle teaching my son who was 3 years old in front of everyone in the waiting room. She told me my son who she was well aware of being autistic was “ a lot of trouble and that she has never had a student like him”. I asked for my money back for the class and she then proceeded to tell me she still needed to keep my processing fee! And then she asked me why I was pulling my daughter as well out of the class . I told her “ why would I ever keep my daughter in a class where you mistreated my son!” Needless to say I never looked back and found a much better dance studio in town. So do yourself a favor and bring your children to a dance instructor that actually cares about your Child’s experience rather than the money in her pocket. Miss Bambi clearly only cares about her image not the children.
Nov 01, 2022 · Colleen GrazianoMy daughter has danced at GHDA for 2 seasons now. She is a bit shy/anxious (and only 3.5!) and she absolutely loves it. She has come out of her shell and gained such confidence through dancing. She has made great friends and adores her teachers. Highly recommend, especially for littles!
