We have been taking lessons with Hetal Joshi from year 2000 when she started her journey of freelance choreography in exclusive indian folk dances. I came to know about her from my college friends who were going to darpana and they were also part of CRY-india fundraising with Hetal in Ahmedabad. they were all common friends as part of our youth association run by my uncle. I have seen hetal teaching at very young age right out of her high school as an intern with her senior teachers to very well seasoned choreographer/teacher. When i had my first competition in folk, i took her help in learning the full folk dance form and i got the win for my group. from the best dress, props, choreography to techniques and makeup; she nails it. she has not only taught me, my wife, but my kids and my other family members have taken several lessons. some school competitions have challenging classifications in folk dance forms as well as classical bharatanatyam, and so the advices are required in same. last couple of years, family did bollywood dance lessons and marriage-dance lessons by skype and they were fit for family audiences. When she moved to USA, my wife continued her lessons with Hetal via skype and she continues to do so when Hetal visits india. my wife had her breaks due to her schedule and same as my daughter too. My daughter goes to Darpana Academy in Ahmedabad by Mallikaben Sarabhai for courses that Hetal recommends her depending on teacher. this is especially when she is unable to come and for rest, we take skype. Couple of other institutes that she recommended added a very good value to my child's dance education in her absence.When we visit dallas for our family, we go to Hetal. we also did an exclusive folk dance drama for a launch event with her and under her instructions. picture is attached here. people loved it and when i showed it in india to my daughters' teachers just for letting them know that we danced in USA, they loved the dance! We love Hetal. Strongly recommend her folk, bharatanatyam and bollywood lessons. She takes specializations in each subject that she teaches and that is what makes us go back to her. It's a straight cut win every-time we do her dances in any competitions. her regular class students itself dance flawlessly so competition students are no where close to comparison with anybody around in that age. it never happens overnight or even in 2-3months. it never happened for us that way. It is the training from the best people, right techniques and it has never happened in 2-3months. Nobody else teaches Exclusive Indian Folk dances in entire Dallas Fortworth. Bharatanatyam: my wife does it and people love her work here and in USA. she is still under training. In DFW, we have visited lot of dance schools that claim to teach folk dances to keep up with continuity for us but they all teach bollywood, except Hetal. We looked for others as timing was not convenient but after seeing what they were teaching, we made our timings convenient for hetal.

Grace And Grooves bharatnatyam dance lessons are absolutely amazing. We have taken their lessons in Irving and then Frisco for Bharatnatyam-private classes. Our instructor is Hetal Nagaraj and we just love her. At recent india trip, my kids danced at local event and people asked me where they learned Bharatnatyam from. they were surprised that my kids learned it in USA as they loved the choreography. we got appreciation from community people that our dances were graceful and very beautiful. one of my daughter is very delicate types and does not like very vigorous bharatnatyam dances. I was surprised how beautifully hetal was able to bring out a dancer from body-type that my daughter has. From a girl who used to get tired at the end of 1 hour class for simple adavu practice to a girl who is now able to dance entire jatiswaram with full jatis. there has been very positive difference in my kids personalities, attitude and approach because of way hetal teaches. a perfect example of teacher. never knew bharatnatyam can be done so gracefully without forsaking fundamentals for the body-type that my daughter has. thank you hetal. i will strongly recommend her lessons to anybody who is looking for bharatnatyam dance lessons. we have also taken adult bollywood dance lessons and we just love her choreography. no repetitions, very graceful fun dance steps and it is so beautiful lady-like. their costumes and themes are beautiful & at such a low cost than what other dance schools offer. most costumes are totally free & we love her yearly costume concept. i can show our dances to anybody without being afraid of being copied from somewhere or any copyright issues. we have been with several dance schools in past and this is the only dance school that my in-laws enjoyed the choreography for adults. we adults have danced on kala chashma, nimbooda, dhola dhol, krishna leela, devotional dances and some fun remixes like shape of you, rangeelo dholna. we look forward to coming years. good job hetal for keeping our indian sanskriti alive.
