Fuel Athletics Introduce
For families in the Florida region, particularly those in Altamonte Springs, Longwood, Casselberry, Winter Park, and surrounding Orlando areas, Fuel Athletics is an exceptional "gym" that specializes in All-Star Cheerleading and All-Star Dance. Founded in 2014, Fuel Athletics was meticulously designed to be a superior program, demanding a "safe, positive and fulfilling environment" for its athletes. This is not your typical neighborhood fitness center; it's a dedicated facility where young athletes can truly thrive, building skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging in a rigorous yet incredibly supportive setting. Fuel Athletics has rapidly grown to become the second-largest All-Star Cheerleading gym in Central Florida, a testament to its commitment to excellence and the positive impact it has on its "gym family."
The philosophy at Fuel Athletics goes beyond just winning competitions; it's about nurturing well-rounded athletes and individuals. As their mission states, they "demand coaches that are the best at what they do, not just by accomplishments, but by who they are and what they bring to those around them." This emphasis on genuine care and positive influence is deeply felt by the families who are part of the Fuel community. One parent enthusiastically shared, "My daughter started at Fuel last fall for tumbling then she competed on their half season team and absolutely loved it. It was our first experience with competitive cheer and it was great. She is now on a full season team and has been excelling in tumbling so much faster than expected. We both love being apart of this gym family. I cannot say enough about the owner, she goes above and beyond for all of her athletes and makes them all feel special while striving to be the best they can be! If you are looking for a new home in competitive cheer come join the Fuel family! #FlamesUp" This glowing review perfectly encapsulates the supportive and results-driven environment that Fuel Athletics provides.
The success stories at Fuel Athletics are numerous, built on a foundation of safety, progression, and affordability. Unlike some other programs, Fuel prioritizes teaching skills properly and with appropriate progressions, never forcing athletes into skills they aren't prepared for or competing injured athletes. This commitment to athlete well-being is paramount. Furthermore, they are dedicated to ensuring continuous progress for their athletes. If you've been "Stuck at the same level with no new skills for three years? Stuck at a gym that will not teach you new skills without spending money on private lessons? Not at FUEL. We encourage our athletes to learn new skills and we will safely teach them how to do it." This focus on advancement without unnecessary additional costs makes Fuel Athletics a standout choice for families seeking genuine development.
The "family" aspect is consistently highlighted by members. Another parent noted, "My daughter loves her Fuel Family. She is 7 and started cheer and dance last year at Fuel. It is fun, challenging and she has build confidence here!" This illustrates how the gym successfully combines rigorous training with an enjoyable and confidence-building atmosphere. Fuel Athletics understands the financial considerations for families and strives to be affordable, being upfront about costs and even reusing uniforms for multiple years to help reduce expenses. For anyone in Central Florida looking for an all-star cheerleading or dance "gym" that truly cares about its athletes, fosters a positive community, and delivers exceptional results, Fuel Athletics is undeniably a premier choice.

Sep 21, 2023 · Julie DeloshMy daughter loves her Fuel Family. She is 7 and started cheer and dance last year at Fuel. It is fun, challenging and she has build confidence here!
Apr 11, 2025 · Joslyn BearThis company may work well for children without disabilities or additional needs, but I would not recommend it for those requiring extra support. My daughter, who has anxiety and struggles with self-advocacy, felt bullied by other girls on her team. I repeatedly raised these concerns with the owner, Lauren, but no action was taken. I even approached one of the parents involved, someone I knew outside of this program, and they acknowledged the issue and agreed it needed to be addressed. However, Lauren was upset that I reached out to the parent, despite our prior connection. My daughter has been cheering for years, and her past coaches have always provided support and encouragement. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. After several attempts to address the issue, Lauren told me, "I don’t think there’s any changes we can make as a gym to fix this issue. I think Kaitlin needs to learn to cope with a team environment like every other athlete. This is a life skill she will need as an adult with a job. If there’s a genuine issue, by all means, come to me about it!" This response dismissed my concerns, despite my explaining that my daughter is high-functioning but struggles with anxiety.Frustrated, I vented on Facebook (on a private page that Lauren doesn’t follow), but someone shared a screenshot with her. Afterward, things escalated. My daughters joined Pop Warner, which uses Fuel’s facility, but Lauren retaliated. She refused to allow my daughters into the building for uniform fittings, forcing them to try on shoes outside. During subsequent practices held at Fuel, my girls were not allowed to participate, missing over 8 hours of practice before a major competition. This exclusion affected my older daughter’s performance and her entire team’s routine. She didn’t even know her last 8-count by competition day, which left her feeling defeated. This treatment soured her love for cheerleading entirely. While my youngest daughter had better experiences and made it to Nationals thanks to amazing coaches, I strongly caution parents with children who need additional support. If your child struggles with anxiety or requires understanding and accommodation, this is not the right place for them.
Dec 19, 2024 · Christopher CanterburyMy daughter has been apart of the gym for 2 and 1/2 years and I couldn’t be happier she has progressed so much. We are apart of a flamily now. The gym owner is so involved she goes up and beyond for these kids. Her love is grand.
Jul 17, 2022 · Krystal MunnMy baby started going to this gym a year ago. We’ve tried other gyms and other sports: dance, gymnastics, tumbling, and even silks. My daughter did okay in these other gyms. At Fuel, my daughter made more progress in a half season than she has in years of other places we have went. The coaches really work with her and even do so one on one. This gym is like a family. The owner loves and adores every kid that comes here. This is NOT like other gyms where your kid is just a number. My daughter is thriving here! My daughter feels valued and loved at this gym. Coming from a small town in Pennsylvania, it is hard to find a small town homey place in central Florida but we found it. I would highly recommend Fuel to anyone with a kiddo interested in dance or cheer.
