Evan has been our instructor since February 2023. He is a great instructor. Lessons are always fun and full of learning. He is good at getting you out of your comfort zone and trying something new. We have also had a few lessons with Morgan and have been to her group classes almost every week. She has a ton of energy that makes learning and practicing fun. It’s really great learning from both of them They both offer different perspectives and different explanations of technique. Overall the two of them together make coming to the studio very enjoyable and we have felt welcome since day one.
Dec 08, 2023 · Jake ClineWonderful studio! Personally been working with Morgan and Evan on group and private lessons. They are incredibly passionate and more importantly patient with complete newbies like me and my fiance who are getting ready for our first dance at our wedding. Definitely a great atmosphere and hope to continue even after the special day that started it all!
Feb 28, 2023 · Kasia AndersonI purchased an introductory package for my wife as a Valentine's Day present. After our first lesson, we had already decided to purchase the beginner's package so that we could continue learning to dance (as we both thoroughly enjoyed it!). Our private instructor Jin is an excellent teacher and easy to work with. We had never danced previously, but his encouragement and attentive teaching helped us to catch on quickly and created a comfortable atmosphere in which to learn. We have also had the pleasure of working with other instructors for group lessons and are impressed with the level of knowledge and expertise offered by the studio. We would highly recommend Fred Astaire to anyone with an interest in dance or just looking to have fun learning a new skill.Update: After taking a break for a couple years, my wife and I returned to Fred Astaire at their new location. Daniel has been a great instructor, and just as before, my wife and I love the experience ♡
Feb 04, 2022 · Brian HooverI've been taking lessons at Fred Astaire over 7 years and have found it to be tons of fun, a stress reliever, and great exercise. All of the instructors are terrific. Over the years I've taken private and group lessons as well as participated in dance parties where we all have an opportunity to practice dancing with various partners on a crowded dance floor. I've also participated in "showcases" that offer an opportunity to dance a choreographed number (designed by my instructor) in front of an audience.I currently take lessons with Pam who explains the technique of steps so well that even I understand it. :) Chaz, Kristi, and Daniel are also great instructors. They all provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere that includes lots of laughter and fun! This is a great studio for beginners and experienced dancers! Come and have fun as a single or with a partner!
Jun 26, 2019 · Kristine TuckerI had taken three years of group dance lessons in Chicago. When I met my future husband in the Quad Cities, I asked Nick if he would take an introductory lesson to Ball Room Dancing. He agreed and I signed us up with Fred Astaire. From October 2012, we started lessons and loved the Fred Astaire experience. Due to job changes we wound up in a commuter relationship. I travelled back to the Quad Cities to see Nick and dance. We married in 2014 and brought our wedding guests to a December Showcase and danced our first Waltz as a married couple at Fred Astaire to the surprise of all of our dance friends.Pam and Kristi were exceptionally accommodating to us by giving up part of their weekends so that we could have two lessons. Our goal was to take lessons that provided a solid technical foundation. We were able to work at our own pace and found that Pam and Chaz assisted with dance contracts that fit into our budget. The instructors are always very positive and skillfully communicate technique skills and build self confidence on the dance floor. We have been with Kristi for the last several years and could not be happier. Nick and I are now retired and have our lessons during the week, we still commute 4 hours each way every two weeks so we can continue our fantastic lesson experience. We would not be doing this if the experience wasn’t absolutely exceptional. Thank you, Kristi and Pam!Janice and Nick
