Foley Academy of Irish Dance Reviews
Our sweet girl started dancing in the fall of 2023 and she has become obsessed with Irish dancing! Ms. Shannon is a wonderful teacher- very thorough, patient, and kind. She and Mr. Jacob do a terrific job running the studio. They are extremely communicative and parents are always informed well in advance of any shows, recitals, competitions, etc. Our daughter looks forward to learning and growing with Foley for years to come.
Mar 20, 2024 · KH DCThe Foley Academy of Irish Dance is fantastic! We are so lucky to have found it. And our daughter is learning so much more than just dancing.
Mar 22, 2019 · Tim MyersFoley Academy has been a great place for my family (myself included) to learn Irish Dance!Especially if you are an adult who is new to learning Irish dance, you will be pleasantly surprised that Shannon is just as enthusiastic that you want to learn too, instead of being treated like some low-class plebe when inquiring for lessons as a beginner like some dance schools my family has gotten the treatment from in the past...Foley Academy is flexible, professional, teaches amazingly, and has been able to flex virtual lessons during the pandemic. Highly recommend checking this Irish Dance school out where they will treat you well and know you by name and foster a love for Irish dance here... instead of like a race horse waiting to win them prestige. Foley Academy of Irish Dance cares for Irish Dance and the dancer.
Oct 19, 2020 · DanielIt's so nice being able to take Irish dance classes as an adult! Shannon is a wonderful instructor: she's very laidback and knowledgeable and breaks down steps in an easy-to-follow manner. She first teaches the basic steps and then teaches beginner routines using those steps. She also utilizes great stretches at the beginning and end of class, such as releve (standing up on tiptoes) on both feet and even on one foot at a time and single-leg squats - great for building muscle strength for standing on your tiptoes in Irish dance! We're also able to compete if we choose. She has a good setup to teach virtually during the pandemic: she has a camera positioned near ground level so you can see her feet clearly during Zoom classes. There are also detailed step and routine videos available so you can practice steps/routines outside of class. All in all, I definitely recommend Foley Academy for learning Irish dance!
