Sep 11, 2023 · Iris Aluf MedinaI stumbled upon tango and couldn’t be more grateful to have found Marcelo as a teacher. He has been a total game changer in my pursuit of tango. After exploring several other tango classes and teachers around the Bay Area, I discovered Marcelo through another tango student. Born in Argentina and with over 30 years of tango experience, Marcelo literally seems to embody tango. In 8 weeks, I completed Marcelo’s beginner and intermediate tango series. The depth and value of the experience blew me away! Marcelo brings a deep love and passion for tango, and is very committed to supporting his students, actually providing each student with individual attention during class. Marcelo infuses his classes with a rich authentic Argentinean tango experience, teaching his students about technique, elegance, musicality, and so much more. He is patient, funny, and his community of dancers are the sweetest ever! Every Friday in Lafayette his Milonga is coupled with an amazingly generous potluck of wine and goodies created by him and his students. There is truly a shared spirit of community, friendship, and the joy of tango. I commute over an hour to take his classes. It’s hard to describe in words how special Marcelo’s tango classes are… so I highly recommend that you try it out for yourself! Happy dancing! (And thank you, Marcelo!)
