Mar 11, 2025 · Eric C HuangDYOS is my favorite dance scene I’ve ever attended. Riley is a wonderful instructor and strives to make DYOS a warm and welcoming environment. I really admire how well-run the weekly classes and social are, and how much hard work and thought is put into this organization. The beginner classes are taught by community members who are patient with newcomers - even those who’ve never danced before! The L2 and L3 classes always have interesting topics, and I find that Riley does a great job of breaking down complicated skills into more digestible parts. As for the people, everyone here is super friendly and supportive, and I’ve made some great friends in the community. I’m always looking forward to dancing here on my Thursday evenings!
Jan 03, 2025 · S B (SB)DYOS is an incredibly friendly and caring community of dancers. Riley is an expert at creating a space for people to show up in whatever way works for them on that day, in both the classes and the social dance. The classes are small enough for the instructors to address individual questions but still have enough attendance to get to try out the material on a variety of different dancers. I highly recommend the DYOS classes and social dance to anyone looking for west coast swing in the South Bay!

Apr 23, 2025 · Adam ArmijoThis is my favorite west coast social in the area. I appreciate how Riley, the organizer, really cares about everyone’s wellbeing and experience. The classes and instruction are top notch and usually very interesting. Sometimes Riley also polls for topics before coming up with the curriculum, so the focuses tend to apply what I actually want to learn, which is cool.It doesn’t hurt that my favorite dancers in the area tend to come too :)
