Dance Arts Project Reviews
Dance Art Project has been an incredible part of my daughter’s life for years now. The ballet teachers and director are not only talented but truly care about each student’s growth and confidence. She absolutely loves it and it shows every time she performs. A warm, creative, and inspiring place. Highly recommend!
Jun 14, 2025 · Michael ButterfieldI have 2 daughters who love Dance Arts Project. Both have had so much fun in the creative movement and pre ballet classes when they were little. Both are taking more classes, learning more dance and are part of this beautiful, creative, inclusive and supportive community as they get older. Ms Michaela, along with Miss Eva and Ms Erin have created such a special community where the dancers challenge themselves and support each other. We did try other dance studios when they were little, but when we landed at Dance Arts Project my kids found joy in dancing, which has only grown over their years at DAP. The Big Show at the end of the year is a joy to watch. If your kiddo wants to dance, Dance Arts Project has the Magic!
Jun 14, 2025 · Jeanine MillsYears ago when i lived in Alameda both of my daughters went to DAP and other dance schools. DAP stood out for its inclusivity, positive re-enforcement and allowing everyone to be their authentic selves. Ms Michaela fosters an environment of love, compassion and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone of her students feels this. Far beyond a dance school, DAP hosts many other activities like movie nights, outings and celebrations. One of my daughters just graduated college and has gone back to dance, help with younger students and carry on the traditions she experienced when she danced their as a child. You can not ask for a better experience for your son or daughter than DAP.
Apr 30, 2025 · John WaltonI would not recommend going to this dance school. The owner of the studio would tell dancers that if they dance with them from age 3-18 in their final year they would be guaranteed a solo in their end of the year recital. For three consecutive years out of rage from getting negative feedback from her peers she revoked that right leaving many promising dancers in an uncomfortable position as it jeopardized their potential careers. Most studios sign contracts to prevent this situation from occurring, and if we were in our right mind we should have sued them for false advertising, but we showed them grace…For clarification Under California Business and Professions Code Section 17500, making false or misleading statements in advertising is a criminal offense that can result in jail sentences.
Oct 25, 2024 · Troy ClintonMy daughter has loved dancing at DAP! The owner, Ms. Michaela, is welcoming to all and has created a good environment for the dancers and Ms. Erin is a super talented dancer/teacher and my daughter loved having classes with her! I'm very glad we walked into this studio 14 years ago. I highly recommend it!
