Buford Academy of Music Reviews
My daughter and son-in-law pour their heart and soul into Buford Academy of Music. They are professional musicians that run a very professional music school. It is a family business that has been in business for almost 15 years. Elise and Erik have dedicated such a great deal of time to the children of our community. I'm extremely proud of all they have done with BAM!
Sep 13, 2024 · Elizabeth McAlpineMy daughter just started taking voice lessons here in January and was able to be part of their production, Desperado, this past weekend. The show was phenomenal, the owners are amazing! And my daughter has literally transformed in the past few months. She is more confident and so excited to be part of it. Middle school has been a rocky, but this was just what she needed! Big love to Elise, Erik & Bryce!!!
Apr 17, 2024 · Jennifer GreenhillI recently completed a session of voice and drum lessons at Buford Academy of Music, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience! The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about music. They tailored the lessons to my skill level and learning pace, making each session both challenging and fun. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, Buford Academy of Music is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Jun 04, 2024 · Jim C JarrellsIf I could give this establishment zero stars I would. My son and I had the most unprofessional experience at the school. My son’s piano teacher was chronically late for every private lesson we were paying for. Excuses ranged from accidents, to a hurt ankle, to a sickness, to a vacation, to numerous car troubles to just plain forgetting about the lesson time all together when we had confirmed times and instead of owning this problem and holding the teacher accountable, Director called me “gross! and “no one likes me, go away and I’m the only one that complains about time”. when her daughter was late for practically single lesson without any accountability. There have been times where we have showed up for a private lesson and the doors were locked and no one was there. Clearly they’re not on a schedule There’s no one running the front desk and the facility is dirty. As a parent, I’ve had to direct parents for information because there’s no one there running anything. They can probably not afford a proper cleaning service or crew and instead, there’s just having children run the place. When I addressed it with the young child that was at the front desk, they said “it’s not their problem” because his teacher was late again. I was also doing them a favor helping their business As a hired teacher to help choreograph a Dance for a performance as I’ve been teaching children dance for over 20 years. After doing 99% of the work, that was finished I was told that the children finished the dance after I had requested 2 rehearsals to complete the dance since the children had no prior dance training. That’s Never happened to me as a teacher. and I was very taken aback by that .Also, after we had already confirmed times and addressed the situation, of the late issues I was shocked at the way director, Elise treated me as if I was the one with the problem , I couldn’t believe how unprofessional this place is. They don’t keep a schedule and tried to gouge us on tuition paying more than double the price for a full hour private lesson. I have never dealt with this ever and I’m shocked that there was no accountability and instead the Director blamed me as if I was in the wrong. Unbelievable . She also told my son that I’m a mean, mother and I’m a bully. This place will not stay open for long. The Director was so emotional and just lashed out and was extremely immature. I couldn’t believe the things she was saying to me and my son. She took this personal and she needs to understand this is not personal. This is business.
Aug 09, 2024 · balletgirl113One of the best experiences i have ever had. I have been playing guitar for quite some time and was “YouTube” trained. I had hit a plateau and wanted a professional eye to help me improve my techniques and mechanics. Gordon is not only very knowledgeable but patient and a joy to learn from. I cant recommend this place enough for all ages, skill levels, and needs.
