Ballet North Texas Reviews
If I could give this company 18 stars, I would — but apparently that’s "not allowed" and "breaks the rating system." Whatever. This crew isn’t just a dance company. No. They’re an elite squad of rhythm assassins. Precision? Immaculate. Style? Unmatched. Energy? I swear they siphon it directly from the sun.I came expecting to see some good moves. I left questioning every life decision that didn’t involve dance. The dancers?🔥 Professional.🔥 Talented.🔥 So smooth I thought gravity was optional. One of them did a move so clean I almost stood up and applauded mid-snack — and I don’t stop snacking for anyone.Hire them. Watch them. Worship them. Then wonder how you ever lived without them.11/10. Would stare in awe again.
Jun 02, 2025 · Mandatory FunI attended Ballet North Texas's performance of "Sleeping Beauty" at the Moody Performance Hall on April 27, 2024, expecting to be transported into the magical world of this classic ballet. However, what I experienced was a far cry from the immersive and enchanting event promised in the advertisements. The promotional materials showcased beautiful images of princes, princesses, and elaborate sets, painting a picture of a grand theatrical production. Regrettably, the reality was a stark disappointment. The performance lacked coherence, with minimal staging and only a handful of brief dances. It was nothing like the immersive experience advertised. They skipped from a half-hearted attempt of “Once Upon a Dream” to a wedding dance, glossing over essentially the full story. To add insult to injury, the entire event lasted a mere 35 minutes, leaving attendees feeling shortchanged and disillusioned. Considering the exorbitant cost of tickets and parking totaling $60 ($20 x 2 tickets + $16 parking + $4 service fee), this was an unacceptable disappointment.Furthermore, despite my attempts to seek recourse, Ballet North Texas demonstrated a lack of accountability by refusing to issue refunds for the gross misrepresentation of their event. This unwillingness to acknowledge their failure to deliver on their promises only compounds the disappointment and frustration experienced by patrons like myself. It's worth noting that I have already reached out to Ballet North Texas via email regarding this issue, but have yet to receive a response. Additionally, they have informed the Moody Performance Hall that they denied my requests for a refund.Ballet North Texas's misleading advertising, disappointing performance, and refusal to issue refunds not only misrepresented the event but also demonstrated a lack of respect for its patrons. As a consumer, I feel deeply disappointed and misled by this experience. In the future, I hope Ballet North Texas will take responsibility for its marketing practices and strive to provide the quality performances it promises to its audience.
May 01, 2024 · Beth ChildsSuper disappointed!!!! Went to see Don Quixote today with granddaughters..VERY VERY Expensive and barely 30 min of dancing if that !!!
Feb 23, 2025 · Olivia MaxwellI had the pleasure of seeing Ballet North Texas perform the Nutcracker for the first time this Christmas and it did not disappoint!! Perfectly and professionally executed!! The costumes and sets were unique, the dancers were very together on all of the dances and gave a vivacious, heartfelt performance! The children were adorable and seemed to have a lot of fun while performing. The Snow Queen was my favorite! The show generated lots of laughter and applause, a very warm and enthusiastic experience!! I brought a friend and it was her first time to see Nutcracker live...and she was greatly impressed!! After the show all of the dancers mingled with the crowd, and I got to meet the Snow Queen and she was very kind and took pictures with us! Very impressed with it all!Great job Ballet North Texas!!
Jan 02, 2019 · Katy WhiteLove this school and all the teachers. My daughter has been with these teachers for over a year and I am greatly impressed with their professionalism, dedication to dance and love for the kids. They also do outreach/voluntary programs at several schools and had the first ever sensory-friendly performance of Nutcracker this past year.
