Great experience! Took two lessons here to practice for our first dance at our wedding. Jude (studio manager) and Matt (instructor) were both so helpful and nice. Easy clear communication before the lesson to prepare us and great instruction during the lesson. Hope to go back to practice some more.
Feb 05, 2025 · Ellen McDonoughAfter trying almost every studio in town I settled for Arthur Murray Solana beach/Ranch Bernado. This studio has 5 fabulous teachers all of whom aregenuine people , interested only in improving your dancing. They make you perform, and once you do that you are destined to improve. What I love here is that there is an energy in this studio, and everyone is made to feel welcome. Age is not a factor, its your interest they look for.Jude, Peter, Damian , Zach and shela. They are the fabulous.5. You can't go wrong!
May 28, 2022 · Jim VevainaI walked into the studio in January intending on trying it out 1 night as an unorthodox date with a girl I had just started seeing. Fast forward 5 months... my girlfriend and I now boast an impressive repertoire of dances and moves that we bust out on every dance floor we see.The instruction is EXCELLENT, and is matched only by the warmth and hospitality of the instructors (and fellow students)!Plus, because of the company's old school charm, you end up feeling just a little classier as you walk in for your lesson. All of the Solana Beach instructors interact with you on some level, and so I'll use this space to say thanks to Jude, Emilio, Anthony, Adam, and Cassie! But I'd be remiss without issuing a SPECIAL THANKS to Jill, our primary instructor! Yes, she's an incredible dancer, and is funny/cool. But on top of that, she truly takes an interest in her students. I walked in when I was in the area running errands one afternoon and mentioned an obscure song that my girlfriend and I love. The next night at our lesson, Jill had choreographed the perfect dance for my girlfriend and I to that song! The surprise and smile that washed over my girlfriend's face instantly burned into my memory. Thanks for making that happen, Jill!
Jun 13, 2014 · Shaun SullivanMy husband surprised me with ballroom dance lessons! The instructions showed us the waltz, two step, swing, bachata and asked us which dances we would like to focus on! It has been so much fun dancing together!
Feb 05, 2023 · SanDiego IsParadiseI have a nine year old girl taking lessons at the new studio in Solana Beach, CA.This is a wonderful experience on every level. The studio is well designed with tables and chairs in which you can sit and watch your child or take a break if you're dancing yourself. There were several other students recieving instruction while my child was dancing. The students covered a wide age range, some came as couples, others came alone, but all were recieving instruction appropriate for their abilities. As I watched I could tell they were having fun and connecting well with the instructors. All of the staff are not only very competent dancers, but are also well trained in teaching the different dances. They all seem to also have two other important traits which make for great teachers; patience and a delight in helping students learn. Each time I have been at the studio any staff member whom I have not already met has come and introduced themselves to me. This is not the first studio at which my child has danced so I have some experience with which to make comparisons among dance studios. This is a safe and comfortable place for any child or adult to recieve excellent instruction.I would highly recommend this studio!
