My husband and I had the pleasure of working with the Miss Katie for our first dance for our wedding. Katie was amazing to work with and helped us feel confident in ourselves to knock our routine out of the park!Our wedding day, our dance was flawless and we had so much fun dancing!

I wish I could give this place a 20/5 stars. I mean I have no words because this place leaves me speechless. Let’s start from the beginning.Samantha is the manager of the Lake Mary studio and wow she created such an amazing welcome table for us on day one. She was super kind and worked with us on our package and helped us make it work with our finances.Our instructor was, Katie. She’s absolutely incredible. There are no words that exist to describe what this woman can do. She created a magical dance routine to rewrite the stars for me and my partner to perform on our wedding day. She always encouraged us and pushed us to be better (always in a very nice way) but also she was honest with us when we needed it. Her positive behavior, calmness, and excitement when we were together meant the world to us. Katie was with us in spirit during our performance and we just kept thinking “what would Katie say to us” when we were scared, that’s how awesome she was. Her confidence in us helped us become stronger as dancers.Dancing isn’t easy and my partner struggled with dancing and she had to lead too. But with Katie’s help, my partner is now a great dancer and our first dance was unbelievably magical and we will never forget it. Samantha did help alter the routine a bit and we loved her changes. She also got to coach us for a lesson and we absolutely enjoyed her enthusiasm and dedication to helping us perfect our routine. The rest of the crew was always inviting and super sweet. We love this dancing studio and community so much that we want to return and learn social dancing. Thank you everyone for everything you have done. I highly recommend this place for social dancing, fun, and for your first wedding dance. It’s not just a dancing studio, it feels like family. Arthur Murray Lake Mary has truly been an amazing experience for me and my partner. We love to cruise and have always wanted to learn to dance so we can have even more fun by participating in the theme nights. The team is exceptional and they truly are invested in your progress. I can say with certainty you will feel like family when you return for your second lesson.

Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Lake Mary, FL is for the new and seasoned dancer alike. The ballroom is very large and open. The instructors are seasoned, professional, and fun. The whole team is welcoming and friendly and will do everything they can to ensure you are getting the best instruction in a way you learn. I entered into the world of ballroom dance as something fun and new to do on a staycation in Orlando with my boyfriend. It is so much fun we carried it on with it and it has been so fun and relationship building to participate in learning something brand new together. The team of instructors are very willing to recommend dances that suit your goals. For example, upon starting our lessons we insisted on learning specific dance styles. While we were encouraged to explore other types of dance styles, we were never forced too in our lessons. This studio allows you to select your primary instructor and schedule with them. They have a team of instructors with specific specialties that can be utilized in your lessons to advance your dance under the direction of your primary instructor. I drive 91 miles weekly to go to lessons at this studio for almost a year. I have tried other studio's nearer to me, but none compared in level of professionalism and value. They offer several group classes and it is a lot of fun learning together and being introduced to new dances. I grew up in a strict religious background that did not allow dancing, or even clapping, so this is a whole new liberating experience for me. Ballroom dancing has a way of making you feel like an elegant person connecting with your partner or yourself even. Before long, I found myself ordering ballroom dancing shoes and listening to songs on the radio thinking"we could dance foxtrot to that" or "that has Tango rhythm."I have chosen to continue lessons without my boyfriend due to his work scheduling changing, but have enjoyed continuing learning at my lessons. They will have to catch him up when he can rejoin. No partner is needed and you will never lack a person to dance with at the parties or lessons. I love using our new skills at live music events, parties, and in our kitchen. It has brought a connection to our relationship and is quite romantic.On a side note, the instructors can customize your lessons to any previous orthopedic injury, personal goals, size, or ability. It is a great social hobby that is just so awesome and confidence building. Ballroom dancing lessons should be considered an investment, not just a cost. But be warned, that a couple of fun lessons for an upcoming event will turn into a lifelong positive hobby.
