Ankeny Dance and Performing Arts Academy Reviews
We really love this dance studio and it came highly recommended by friends. We drive 45 minutes because it’s worth it! They have a cafe to get snacks and sit. And they windows to watch your kids. My son loves the boys only dance class.
Sep 11, 2020 · J JOn professionalism I give them an 8 on dances I give them a 2 the dances are sloppy and seemed to be rushed and just thrown together. They kids act like they don't know what they're doing but yet have had 6 months to prepare for the recital what have they been working on? They also charge tuition for the entire month of June and only had 1 class because recital is in the 2 week of the month. Driving to Ames Ia for the recital is ridiculous. I've had 25 years of dance experience and I'm so disappointed in this dance company, they have too much on their plates and should just focus on the competition teams, sadly we will not be returning next year.
Jun 14, 2019 · Kimberly JohnsonSo much to say about Ankeny Dance and Performing Arts Academy. We have been proud ADPAA parents for 11 years with two students taking classes and participating in their competition teams. We Love Ankeny Dance!! The staff is outstanding and for a studio this size they make every child feel special. They check the boxes on variety of dance styles to choose from, professionalism, instruction and friendliness but what I appreciate the most is their passion around dance and all performing arts. This studio cares about the art and understands anyone can teach dance but it takes a special set of individuals to inspire and instill a their passion for dance into their students. This place is a family to many of us. It speaks volumes that many of the current teachers are former students of ADPAA and I believe this trend will continue well into the future. I am personally aware of several students looking forward to continuing their dance and work in the performing arts well past graduating out of Ankeny Dance! Lastly I'll close with this, if you want to see well crafted, themed performance with incredible dancing, I'll see you at Stephen's Auditorium, Ames, IA in June!!
Jul 22, 2019 · Craig LikeI'm giving them a one because of the fact they had dance recitals in Ames on Father's Day this year.. All weekend... For a father who is has a horrible custody agreement as is this takes away from his special day to spend time with his children. I do hope in the future the planning is better as in not having it on Father's Day. To all the dad's out there you should feel outraged to have your day taken.
