Students typically start in age-based classes, with room for growth and advancement at their own pace. Placement for older students is often determined by evaluation to ensure appropriate class levels.
Ballet Classes (Tiny Tots to Advanced): Ballet classes begin for Tiny Tots (age 3) and progress through Ballet levels 1-7. Younger classes engage imagination and promote fundamental motor movements. Higher levels (Ballet 5 and above) expand to multiple classes per week for continuous growth. Ballet 6 explores modern dance, and Ballet 7 focuses on pre-pointe as a prerequisite for pointe work.
Modern & Contemporary Dance: A progressive modern and contemporary curriculum is offered for students starting at age 8. These classes explore movement fundamentals, modern dance technique, improvisation, and various styles, drawing inspiration from pioneers like Rudolf Laban and Irmgard Bartenieff to build movement fluency. Advanced dancers delve into contemporary, combining elements of modern, jazz, lyrical, and ballet.
Hip-Hop Classes: Students develop confidence, coordination, rhythm, and expression in an upbeat, energetic environment that honors God with Christian music while respecting the dance form. Beginner classes cover fundamentals like waving, tutting, footwork, and basic breakdance moves. Intermediate and advanced levels introduce more complex steps, combinations, and encourage freestyle.
Boy’s Movement Classes: Specific classes designed for boys, acknowledging their unique movement styles and fostering a comfortable environment for them to explore dance.
